The unity rally in France against the barbaric terrorist act was very impressive and timely to show to the cowards who perpetrated this heinous and inhumane tragedy that the civilized world is not going to bow down in front of these unfortunate situations.  Yes, the terrorists might feel that by killing 20 innocent people and creating chaotic situation, they have proven their point.  But they should never think that their self-concocted Jihadi ideology is going to last for a long time.  They are pushing the civilized society to a point where willingly or unwillingly the latter has to initiate some concrete measures to put an end to this on-going nuisance.  What those measures are going to be will be based on each individual country's situation.  However, one measure is definitely in order and that is to deport all illegal Muslims from Europe, UK and the USA to their respective countries.  Secondly, If any Muslim is a citizen but have an affiliation with any Jihadi organization or have a criminal record, he/she ought to be behind bars for some number of years without parole.  These Jihadi Muslims are not normal human beings and, accordingly, do not deserve humane treatment.  The western nations do not have any choice but to push illegal Jihadis out of their countries and treat the criminals severely.  As I understand, France has certain areas populated by Muslims only - called 'no-go zone' - which means no non-Muslim can go their, not even the French police.  Muslims run their own lives predicated on Sharia Law.  I think it is a stupid policy.  Instead of creating an environment for galvanizing the society, French policy is polarizing the society.  If western nations do not learn any lesson from what happened in France, the boat is going to tilt in favor of Jihadis.
