India has been a free country since 1947 and they are still struggling with a quota system for SC, ST and other minorities in the fields of education and jobs etc. There is no need to even have a quota system in any of the fields. Everybody ought to compete for their well deserved positions. Mr. Owaissi is blaming the local governments for the backwardness of Muslims in India whether it is in the field of education or his community members languishing in jails. This writer is a firm believer of the negative aspects of quota system. It is the quota system which is keeping the minorities behind rest of the Indian population. If they know that they have to compete to move ahead of others, they will do their level best to educate themselves and compete for well paying jobs. So, what Mr. Owaissi should do is to work with the governments nationwide to establish projects to educate Muslim children so that they are not left behind instead of blaming the governments for Muslims own failures.
