On the surface, it certainly sounds like a good news that Pakistani government has decided to 'plan' banning some of the terrorist groups to eliminate terror from its territory. But as the news item stated, the government has a 'plan' to ban these groups, but these groups have not been banned yet. Among these groups, LeT and JuD are also included which are headed by Mr. Saeed who has the blessing of a nexus of Pakistni/ISI. So, this writer is unable to comprehend Pakistani government's announcement of banning Mr. Saeed's organizations while he has a full support of the Pakistani government and its military/ISI establishment. It sounds very ironical to me. If we remember, last year when Mr. Saeed organizd a public meeting in Lahore, the Pakistani government arranged special trains and buses to bring people from all over the country to attend that function. Mr. Saeed's organizations are an asset to the Pakistani military/ISI establishment to use them as proxies against India. Even though there is a $10 million bounty placed by the US government on his head, he roams around all over the country at his own free will and without any notice or action by the Pakistani government. So, one wonders how can the Pakistani government take any action against him and his organizations. It sounds like just a diplomatic statement made the government in Islamabad to appease the visiting dignitary from Washington. We should also know that hundreds of millions of dollars are sitting in the pipeline to be released by the US awaiting a certification issued by the State Department of the US declaring positive action initiated by the Pakistani government towards eradicating terror menace from its territory. Therefore, one wonders if this diplomatic statement to 'plan' banning these terror organization is an hoax to get that cash flow released by the US Congress. Whatever it may be, I think, India should not hold its breath and expect any unexpected outcome as respects to Pakistan taking any severe action against Mr. Saeed and his cronies.
