This type of heinous crime ought to be handled with a severe punishment.  These criminals treated a female mercilessly and, in my opinion, they should be paid in the same coin.  Death penalty being asked by the prosecutor is justified.  Mr. Throor, one of the state ministers has very rightly suggested to name the pending anti-rape law after the name of the victim, if there is no objection from her parents.  I am astonished to see the picture of one of the culprits whose face is hidden behind a mask.  It is not fair.  The faces of all these culprits should be shown to the whole world and then hang them in public to set a precedence for future criminals who might be contemplating repeating the same crime.  Also, it will help the incumbent government to expedite this case and award the death penalty to all culprits- including the juvenile.  Age should not have any consideration in this matter.  Once the anti-rape law is enacted, it should apply to all rapists irrespective of their age, caste, creed, party affiliation and a status in the society.  IT IS A HIGH TIME FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO BECOME PROACTIVE BY ENACTING A SEVERE ANTI-RAPE LAW TO PROTECT THE FABRIC OF A CIVILIZED SOCIETY.
