Mr. Bajwa's statement is a step in the right direction to ameliorate relations with India. It definitely proves two things, one being that they never supported this before but now they are yielding to this idea, and secondly, the military establishment of Pakistan has realized that they do not have any other choice but to work towards improving relationship with India to co-exist. However, in my opinion, this gesture is not enough to achieve this goal. This objective can be achieved only when they block and eliminate militant activities of the non-state actors in Pakistan, Military shows a sincere effort to stop abetting, financing and encouraging these lawless entities to attack on India through their proxy players across the border. Actually, these non-state actors ought to be in the jail if they show any kind of anti-India demonstration.

Mr. Abdullah's comments about PoK is shameful, disgusting and disappointing. It proves an adage 'grapes are sour'. Three generations of his family ruled J & K and could not find a solution to the PoK riddle which shows lack of vision and governance. Situation became bad to worse. Instead of pushing forward a genuine cause of India to claim the whole territory of J & K as part of India, his statement is encouraging the claim of an enemy country. His three generations have been living in India and enjoying the prosperity of India, but has no shame in going against India's legitimate interest of this territorial dispute. People of Kashmir should keep the inner anti-India sentiments of the Abdullah family in mind and show their rejection at the ballot box in the future elections.

It seems like King Salman is trying to open up Saudi society to a little bit more on moderate version of Islam and putting all the pieces in place to placate the non-Muslim communities in Saudi also. Certainly, it is a step in the right direction to invite flow of investment from the outside world. Saudis cannot survive for ever on the revenue generated by the sale of oil because its availability is going to be over one day. However, this writer has his apprehension about the sincerity of Kingdom's intention and determination to really open up Saudi's society to the extent appreciated by all the non-Muslim communities. The reason being that there is still no restriction or penalty imposed by the Saudi Government on the fanatic clerics who openly deliver sermons to the Muslim community in Saudi Arabia. Those sermons have a great influence to divert Muslims to participate in destructive activities by joining non-state fanatic militant groups. So, it appears that King Salman's efforts to bring Saudi society to a moderate Islam version ironical because he is not doing anything to prohibit spreading the Wahhabism version of Islam. If he is really serious in his efforts, he ought to restore the fundamental human rights to all people living in Saudi Arabia irrespective of their gender, race and religion along with allowing non-Muslims to visit Mecca and Madina. Christians, Hindus, Jews and Budhists etc. allow everybody to visit their religious shrines, why cann't they visit Muslim religious shrines?

China blocked the petition in the UN to declare Mr. Azhar as an international terrorist should not surprise Indian authorities. The reason being that the non-state terrorist actors in Pakistan are supported by the Pakistani Military and ISI nexus, and also China has a very big investment of around $46 Billion in the CPEC project. China will not like to upset that investment project because in the long run it will serve China both its military and economic interests. With this investment, China is expanding its tentacle which fulfills its territorial expansion objective, and also it helps China to bring its armed forces further nearer to the Indian border. As we know, China has already sent thousands of workers and armed men in Balochistan to work and protect this CPEC project, Chinese languages are being taught in Pakistan along with Chinese small business are opening their operations in Pakistan. Hence, India ought not to expect any type of helping hand from China in this matter. However, India can and should play a counter-China game to help the rebels in the Western part of China which is seeking separation from China

This latest statement of the Saudi government to turn Saudi state as a moderate Muslim state is a sigh of relief for millions or may be for billions of people in this world. The strict following of Wahhabism version of Islam by the Saudi government has created lot of problems for the whole world. Better late than never. Turning towards moderate ideas of Islam will make many terrorist activities disappear which means peace and tranquility in the world, and also it will save lots of innocent lives. This decision by the Saudi government needs to be applauded by all civilized nations. The money spent on madrasses to train martyrs will be invested for the welfare of people. This writer just wonders if other Muslim countries supporting jihadi ideology will take a cue from the Saudis and stop assisting fundamentalists and divert their financial resources towards meaningful channels. I think it will be a good idea if the Saudi government publishes details of its new policy explaining modern Islam - for example, their policy towards stopping Jihadi ideology through mosques and madrasses, equal rights for all genders, freedom of speech and fundamental rights, equal rights for all people practicing different religions etc.

The Saudi government officials are trying to portray its soft religious side of government by openly rejecting terrorist methods adopted by the Muslim fundamentalists. One wonders if the Saudi government is really serious about what they are trying to say. Would the world really take them on their face value and hope the terrorism will decline because of support being withdrawn by the Saudis. If what the Saudis are saying is true, then one believes that they will not preach hatred and ill will against the non-Muslims in the mosques. One will also believe, (a) they will disseminate a message of peace, love and harmony with others, (b) they will not fund Madrasses in which all the youngsters are brain washed who become future martyrs, (c) openly reject Jihad against innocent people and (d) the most appreciated gesture will be to allow non-Muslims also ( if they want to) to visit Mecca and Madina like other religions who allow people of all faiths to visit their respective shrines. In addition, one must not undermine the importance of individual freedom and exercise of basic fundamental rights enshrined under the democratic system of government. This writer, however, has his apprehension if the Saudis will be able to accomplish above cited objectives - but it will be a true test of Saudis.

This article is full of ironical statements of Pakistani governmental authority. In this article, Pakistani government admits that Mr. Saeed was involved in the 2008 attack on India. It also admits that he is one of the militants in Pakistan, hence the blockade of registering a party supported by him along with other militants. Also, it is a public knowledge that USA has declared Mr. Saeed's organization as a terrorist organization with a $10 Million bounty on his head. With all these facts present, Mr. Saeed and his militant company is still surviving in Pakistan and they move around with full impunity in Pakistan. Is it because the Pakistani government with the full support of ISI using these militants against India in Kashmir? If that is the case, which I think is 100% true, how the action of Interior Ministry against Mr. Saeed's new party will sit with the ISI, or should I say that this restriction against the MML is just an eyewash to satisfy the international community especially the USA. Pakistan has been making fool of the whole world with its dual face as far as terrorism is concerned. It is not going to happen any more with the new sheriff in the Washington DC. Pakistan has to imprison all militant groups in Pakistan by declaring their activities as illegal, stop ceasefire violations at the LoC. Also, create a transparent evidence that Pakistan does not have any place for any sort of terrorist activities by eliminating all kinds of material, financial and directional support to the militant groups. Instead of financing these groups, earmark those funds to educate your subjects, create better health facilities for them and extend an olive branch to India to ameliorate relationship between two countries. These are the only ways to improve Pakistan's prestige in the eyes of an International community. JUST PUTTING ANY INFORMAL RESTRICTIONS ON THESE MILITANT GROUPS WILL NOT SOLVE ANY ON GOING PROBLEM. BE PROACTIVE.

This country's constitution allows people to express their opinions
freely so long as they do not produce any destructive results. Players
are expressing their opinion by kneeling down at the anthem. President
Trump is also expressing his opinion about players' attitude towards the
national flag and anthem. There is no physical destructive end
result. However, in my opinion, and I am sure the President has the
same idea behind, when people living and earning livelihood in this
country do not respect the national flag and national anthem, they seem
to relay an impression that they do not love this country. They are
just after making money without any real love and affection for this
country. That is the bottom line. Unfortunately, liberals are making
it a racial issue which is absurd. As far as penalty is concerned, it
is up to the employees and employers to follow or not to follow the
terms and conditions of the contracts they have signed. Sports
authorities are just stretching this issue for no reason. I think
steelers found the best way to handle this issue - stayed in the locker
room when the anthem was played.

Finally, under pressure, Pakistan is contemplating to regulate their weekly sermons in the mosques. It is definitely a step in the right direction. The article states that the topics of discussion will be chosen by some governmental authority, but it does not go into detail what the Mullah is supposed to say or interpret about those selected topics. Would the interpretation or explanation of those topics be an approved and written statement which Mullah is supposed to read or is it going to be left on his own interpretation which could be questionable. Also, simply selecting topics of discussion is not enough to stop the radicalization of youngsters in the Friday prayer, it needs to be monitored by the presence of a governmental authority, and if possible, recording all the sermon ceremony of each Friday. The idea is to tighten the screws to avoid radicalization of people. Also, there needs to be a severe penalty declared if any mullah violates these guidelines. In addition, Pakistan has to show to the world that any open jihadi propaganda will not be acceptable on its soil.

Mr. Farooq is correct in saying that the Kashmir issue is not a real estate issue, and all parties ought to find a sincere solution to the ongoing problem of 70 years in that region.Unfortunately, this 'sincerity' is missing from the mind of all politicians. They are not willing to set aside partisanship to find a true solution to the cause of suffering of all inhabitants of that region. When we talk of suffering of people in J & K, we should not be neglecting an indirect/direct affect on rest of Indians in other parts of India.Mr. Farooq, you are right while not attaching any significance to the real estate issue. However, the real cause of problem is the Articles 370 and 35A which prohibit outside investment in the Kashmir area. What is needed is to use your influence and work with the politicians locally and at the center level to repeal above cited both Articles. This will allow investment from outside which in turn will create jobs and bring prosperity in Kashmir.

I agree that Mufti's remarks about unfurling Indian flag in her state is an insult to that office which she is occupying. While making these statements she may be trying to look good in the yes of local Muslim community, but she is tarnishing the image of her prestigious office. She seems to be complaining all the time about a chaotic situation in that part of India, and most of the time the blame is directed on the policies of the central government. If she is really concerned about the present day situation in her state, she ought to work with the central government to find a solution instead of criticizing them. In the mind of this writer, the apple of discord is an Article 370 which is the main stumbling block to attract outside investment in that state. This investment will create jobs to occupy all the youths in that state which in turn will bring prosperity. However, Ms. Mufti's statement about an Article 370 is very crystal clear. Under the circumstances, unless BJP has full majority in J & K, there is no chance to abrogate an Article 370 which means one ought not to expect prevalence of peace and tranquility.

The story on the revelation of disproportionate property owned by Kashmiri separatists is not new. It was always in the notice and record of local and the central government. Unfortunately, none of the governments ever questioned them the source of investment to buy these properties. One wonders if this was due to politics or lack of will power to question these separatists. Even though there was no doubt that these funds were emanating from a nation across the border to foment all sorts of problems in that region, no legal action was taken against these local miscreants. In the yes of this writer, these separatists ought to be declared as 'traitors' and judged by the law of the land accordingly. There are only two ways to over power a chaotic situation in that state and they are, one to stop this cash flow altogether from Pakistan and secondly, the abrogation of an Article 370. Repeal of this Article will help attract outside investment which in turn will create employment. Increased employment will keep all youths employed and they will not have any time to get involved in destructive activities in the streets. However, these two steps need a by-partisan leadership at both local and center level - a leadership with a strong spine. Are Indian politicians ready to initiate this action?

China is trying all sorts of tricks to entice Pakistan to allow the former to extend its intended economic, cultural, military as well as territorial trap. Right now, China is throwing an economic dice in front of Pakistani government - a dice which, as this article states, Pakistan cann't refuse. Since Pakistan, as it appears at the present time, does not have too many friends in the international arena, it has no choice but to get stuck in the Chinese trap. Unfortunately, Pakistan does not understand the long range objective of China behind all these moves. Project CPEC and any other incentive thrown in front of Pakistani government is only good for China. It is not good for Pakistan, Balochistan and India. Under this project, Pakistan will be borrowing money from China at a very higher interest rate which they may not be able to pay off and thus it will have an adverse effect on their economic condition, their currency will be devalued and their overall rating in the international forums will further deteriorate. Since what China is suggesting in respect to construction of infrastructure in the Balochistan area, they will be doing it against the wishes ofblocal Baloch government and its people. Obviously, they will demonstrate against it heavily because what it means is that Balochs will be deprived of all the benefits. It will be done against their wishes. It is not going to be good for India for the simple reason that Chinese forces will be coming more closer to the Indian border. Also, India cann't be happy that this CPEC project will be going through the PoK territory which is part and parcel of India. China claims that with the development of this infrastructure, it will keep the Muslim culture in tact which is a joke because if one looks at a situation of Chinese South West region where most of the Muslims live, one can conclude that Chinese do not like Muslim culture at all. Muslims in China cann't have a beard longer than the prescribed length, they cann't give Muslim names to their kids, they are forced to eat pork, they are not allowed to fast during Ramdan times etc. With all this mentality, how can they preserve the Muslim culture in the foreseeable development of infrastructure in the CPEC project. This is all a hogwash, and this project only serves the purpose of China's long range objective of flexing its tentacles to encircle India.

These Muslim madrassas are not a political, social, religious and cultural problem only in India, it has become an open wound on worldwide basis. This is a wound which is flaring very quickly and there does not seem to be any immediate cure for it. These madrassas are popping up everywhere, and unfortunately, the governments are not paying any serious attention to stop the proliferation of these institutions. The students attending these madrassas are not taught multi-subjects which will benefit them to earn a meaningful living down the stretch, these students are being brainwashed with all kinds of ill will towards other religions. They are the future martyrs, and the main cause of these springing up madrassas is the petrodollar. It seems that economic interest of all nations has taken precedence over the well being and even security of people. World leaders are more interested in signing business contracts with the Sheikhs in the Middle East than penalizing them to stop their support for these madrassas. Instead of working with the Sheikhs to open up universities and colleges to provide better education to their subjects, world leaders are ignoring the opening up of these madrassas which are producing tomorrow's killers. What a sad state of affair?

It is about time that Pakistan is declared a territory which provides haven to the militants. Finally, Trump administration took an initiative to exert some pressure on Pakistan to mend the situation. However, this writer has some apprehension if just the declaration will do the trick. Because the civilian government in Pakistan has no power as respects to controlling militants' activities. These militants are abetted, financed and organized by the nexus of Pakistani Military and ISI establishments. Civilian leaders dance on the tune of this nexus. Unless this nexus is pushed hard, the militancy from Pakistan will not vanish.
Saturday, July 15, 2017
I agree with the Indian government stance about Mr. Bukhari's initiative of writing a letter to the PM of Pakistan about the political situation in Kashmir. He has certainly violated the political protocol. He has no authority to by-pass what the Indian government is already doing about this political situation. Secondly, Mr. Bukhari is barking at the wrong tree when seeking answer to this situation. PM of Pakistan has no authority in this matter. It is the nexus of Pakistan's military and ISI establishment which is creating this situation on the LoC by abetting, financing and organizing the activities of Jihadis. Instead of asking Pakistani government to talk to the separatists to stop these destructive activities in the Kashmir valley, all Pakistan has to do is to stop financing and encouraging these separatists. Also, on the Indian side, what the local and central governments have to do is to assemble enough support to repeal an Article 370 from the Constitution which will bring lot of outside investment thus will create lot of jobs for the youths who in turn will not have time to get involved in the destructive activities and peace will prevail. May be Mr. Bukhari should work with the Muslim community including the Muslims in Kashmir to support deletion of this Article.

Mr. Abdullah's veiled sympathy towards the killing of innocent people by
the Muslim militants is not appreciated at all by this writer. While
he is showing this so-called innocent sympathy, he is inciting Muslims
also to fight against the local and central governments. He is not
condemning the separatists in that state, nor does he say anything about
the support coming from Pakistan which is creating all this chaos. His
family's three generations had ruled the state, what did he do to
eliminate this Muslim militancy from the state? What is the purpose of
showing these crocodile tears and pretending to lose sleep when this
type of tragedy occurs? If he is really hurt, he should sit with the
local and central government and, keeping aside party politics, find
ways to solve this problem. In my opinion, the problem is not religion,
it is an economic issue. These youngsters do not have jobs, they have
all the time to demonstrate against the government forces and destroy
public property. If meaningful jobs are created for them, these
demonstrations and destruction of property will stop and there will be
peace in the region. Jobs can be created only by repealing an Article
370 which will help bring outside investment in the valley. That is
where, Mr. Abdullah and company can play a major role, get the
constitution amended, have this Article deleted, create jobs for the
youngsters. This is the only way to improve the present situation
failing which there is no way to change the status quo.

The situation in the Middle East has been deteriorating as the time passes. The recent turmoil and conflict among the Arabian nations is not helping the situation a bit, rather it is leading the nations in that part of world towards further conflagration. However, one wonders why all of a sudden this rift has surfaced among these Arabian countries. Is it only because of Qatar helps the ISIS and other militant Muslim groups or something else? If that is the reason, then Saudi Arabia has to shoulder the same burden because they are equally responsible and liable for all fatalities being committed by the militants in the name of Allah. In my opinion, the deep pockets full of petrodollars of all the Arabian nations is the cause of all Muslim terrorist activities. Their contribution to establish Madrassas all over the world is sowing the seeds of today's and tomorrow's suicide bombers. So, all need to be condemned by the western nations. This writer thinks that the cause of this sudden explosive situation among the Arabian countries is political which mainly lies between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Both countries are trying to have their hegemony established in the Middle East and in order to achieve this objective, they have created this block of powers - Saudi, Bahrain, Egypt and UAE on one side and Qatar, Iran, Iraq, Syria on the other- so to speak. Unfortunately, the western nations are not paying any attention to condemn all the Arabian nations openly for spreading jihadi ideology, rather the former are after the latter's petrodollars to book their merchandise orders. Hence, it boils down to economics only. Every head of the nation wants to look good in the eyes of his/her own subjects. The priorities are misplaced.

Mr. Engineer is supporting the idea of plebicite as well as approving the activities of separatists in the state of J & K even though Mr. Salahuddin himself has admitted that he was responsible in orchestrating lot of anti activities in that state. Mr. Engineering, through his anti-India statement in the local Parliament, has made it very clear that he is a puppet of a nation across the border along with the Abdullah family which ruled that state for decades - among three Abdullah generations- without any frutiful positive result for the Kashmir issue. These separatists live in India, eat Indian food, but they are faithful to the nation which carries animus and malevolent attitudes towards India. These people ought to be treated as traitors and handled by the law of the land accordingly. Secondly, as this writer sees it, the basic problem in the state of J &K is the existence of an Article 370. This Article prohibits outside investment in that state which is a big stumbling block in the prosperity and peace in that part of India. The central and state governments should work together, keeping any party politics aside, to repeal this Article and attract outside investment in that state to bring some manufacturing and other financial services jobs. Once the economic condition improves, it will keep the youngsters busy with their work and have very less or no time to get involved in destructive activities. Right now, youths do not have much to lose and they become an easy prey to be recurited by the separatists to act in anti-Indian activities. Once peace prevails at the local end, India can free some of the military forces from that region and deploy them in some other areas - like with the Chinese border. Therefore, it is about time to exert all efforts to repeal an Article 370.

There is no doubt that China is flexing its tentacles to satisfy its insatiable ambition of territorial expansion to create hegemony in that part of the part. In order to achieve that objective, it has to establish its basis around the world which is what is it doing. As far as establishing its naval base in Pakistan is concerned, Pakistan has taken shelter in the lap of China for a long time. It handed over part of PoK to China, it has allowed it Gwadar port and Balochistan area to be used by China, it has provided special security arrangement to protect China's interest in the CPEC project, Chinese language is being taught in Pakistan, Chinese engineers and other workers are working in Pakistan, China has given loan to Pakistan to develop its energy generation plants and its infrastructure etc. Unfortunately, Pakistan does not understand China's long range objective. China has allowed financial assistance at a very higher rate of interest which Pakistan may never be able to pay off, slowly and slowly, China is overtaking portion of territory of Pakistan, China will lose its sovereignty and integrity when full Chinese language will be shoved into the throat of Pakistani students. needless to say, China is adamant of defending its presence in the South China Sea and feel emboldened in declaring Arunachal Pradesh, part of Indian territory, as part of Southeran part of Tibet which is occupied by China. I think, China is more dangerous than any other country on the earth. It is bullying all its small neighbors with all sorts of threats which need to be controlled to maintain peace and tranquility in that region.
Wednesday, May 17, 2017
With the development of CPEC project, Pakistan seems to be very happy without understanding a long term ideology and objective of Chinese government. Chinese are very shrewd and untrustworthy. Pakistan should learn a lesson from an Indian experience of what happened in 1962. Chinese Prime Minister visited India and floated a slogan of Hindi-Chini-Bhai-Bhai. Immediately after this visit, China invaded India and rest is a history. Chinese have thrown a big financial bait in front of Pakistani government, and unfortunately, Pakistan has accepted this bait. This financial bait is not going to come free. Firstly, the loan given to Pakistan is at a very higher rate and Pakistan will never be able to pay it back- learn from a Chinese project in Sri Lanka, secondly, China is going to occupy Pakistani land to make their own security arrangement and this aspect is clear from the recently obtained document about Chinese long term objective, thirdly, China is going to spread its own way of ruling a country which means Muslims of all sects will have a tough time to live because China is going to suppress terrorism, Muslim way of leading a life. Pakistan should know how China is controlling their Muslim population in Xiang region. Hence, Chinese bait is not free of cost. By accepting this bait, Pakistan basically has signed its death warrant. CPEC project is not good for India either because this is going to bring Chinese influence, culture and military threat on the north western front of India also.

Unfortunately, a case of Nirbhaya, a victim of December 2012, has been repeated in Haryana this time. A consolation financial compensation has been announced by the local government for the victim family. It appears that the central and the local governments have miserably failed in facing rape cases in India. No one has the guts to introduce a nationwide anti-rape legislation, a legislation without any ambiguities, to sentence the perpetrators. This is a heinous crime and ought to be dealt with sternly.Depending upon the severity of a case, perpetrator should be hanged if the victim dies, otherwise a long term imprisonment without bail needs to be announced.Consolation financial compensation is not the solution to this problem. It needs an impartial, strict and legislative initiative to overcome this societal menace.

It is good to exchange dialogue to sort out any ill will about others. However, the main ingredient to achieve any kind of success from these discussion needs a sincere attitude without any hidden agenda. In case of China, that seriousness is missing which is clear from a historical fact of what happened in 1962 after Chou-en-Lai's visit to India. One should not forget the Chinese slogan of Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai followed by an invasion on India.Past experience teaches us that India has to impose preconditions before initiating any serious dialogues with China, and those preconditions should include; helping India to become member of Nuclear Club, vacate Indian territories of POK and Arunachal Pradesh, condemn Pakistani known terrorists.
Saturday, May 6, 2017
Finally, Ms. Nirbhaya got the justice even though it took 5 years for the judiciary to come out with the final verdict. It is sad that this type of heinous act is not given any priority to settle to mitigate the sufferings of a victim family. It is astonishing to note that there are similar cases pending in the Indian courts for the last 10 years. Also, it is sad that the Indian Constitution treats juvenile differently than the adult perpetrators. I wonder what is the difference in the act. Once the act is committed irrespective of the age group, the life of a female is destroyed. The suffering of the victim family is the same. There is a need to amend the Constitution and all perpetrators of rape crime ought to be treated equally and swiftly. Governmental authorities should keep in mind that if the society is not safe, especially the female community, it breeds chaotic situation in the country which in turn can turn into civil disobedience. Also, the politicians should not ignore what then can happen at the ballot boxes. For the good of the country, it is advisable for the authorities to be proactive and do everything possible in their capacity to eradicate the menace of rape crime.

When China says it will not meddle on the Kashmir issue because it is a
bilateral issue and ought to be resolved by both India and Pakistan, it
is lying in part. Yes it is a bilateral issue but it is lying that it
is not meddling in this affair.. Because China is already meddling in
the Kashmir issue by developing CPEC project. This project passes
through the integral part of Kashmir which in turn is part and parcel of
India. India has made a right decision of not attending RCEP meeting
to be help by China along with other nations. The other step India can
take is to declare Balochistan a separate country - separate from
Pakistan, and help Balochs to defend Balochistan along with the CPEC
project. The benefit of CPEC should go to the local people and not
basically the Panjab Province of Pakistan. For decades, Balochs are
being deprived of all the revenues coming out of the naturally mineral
rich area. They are being exploited by the ruthless behavior of
Pakistani military establishment, and it is about time that India, USA
and Israel declare Balochistan as a separate nation, because it is an
occupied land by the Pakistani government. China is not helping India
in any way, shape and form. Hence, India does not have to show China
any olive branch to appease them.

Musharraf - the liar
Musharraf, the liar of Pakistan, has spoken again in his
baseless tune of propaganda.
Hesitatingly, he says he is sure that ISI of Pakistan has evidence
against Mr. Jadhav when it is on record that the Prime Minister, Foreign
Minister and Defense Minister of Pakistan have stated that there was no
evidence against Mr. Jadhav. So, it
appears that Mr. Musharraf has access to some hidden source which is beyond the
reach of Pakistani government officials. Mr. Musharraf also baselessly touted
his victory in the Kargil war when he was a Military Chief in Pakistan. The final outcome of the Kargil is also on
record which very clearly showed an Indian victory. It proved that Pakistani forces under Mr.
Musharraf's leadership had to withdraw from the Kargil hills after suffering
badly in the hands of Indian forces.
That is another lie. He lied also about Osama Bin Ladden, when he stated
many a times that OBL was not in Pakistan.
He lied also when he told the world that D-Company is not hiding in
Pakistan. His another lie was caught
when he said that his country spent all the funds received from the USA to kill
the jihadis whereas he diverted those funds to strengthen his military to fight
against India. In short, he has lost his trustworthiness in the eyes of world's
leaders, and that is the reason he is not allowed to enter Pakistan and at one
time recently USA declined to issue him visa too.

Mr. Abdullah's comments are very divisive. He says that stone pelters are just fighting for nation. I think what he wants to say is that they are fighting for a separate nation - separate from India. J & K state has been suffering for such a long time that it is ridiculous that politicians cann't find a viable solution to mitigate the sufferings of people in that state. My personal feeling is that it is due to the greed and politics which is a big stumbling block in achieving an ultimate objective to bring peace in that part of India, and Abdullah dynasty is equally responsible for this. Three generation of Abdullah family ruled that state. If they love their people so much, if they really wanted to improve an economic condition of that state, they could have done it by inviting outside investment thus creating meaningful jobs for their citizens. We all know that an Article 370's existence in the local Constitution is a big hic-cup to achieve this objective. But the prudence dictates that the constitution is always amendable and it ought to be amended as the circumstances change. It is not an issue carved on a stone, it is changeable and needs to be changed. However, instead of working with the local and central government to find ways to creating jobs by repealing an Article 370, he is suggesting to invite foreign powers to solve this issue. What a shame.
Monday, April 3, 2017
The Chief Minister of J & K has hit the nail on the head while attributing civil and political problems in her state to unemployment. The youths in her state are frustrated due to failed economic policies of the state government. When people are employed, they feel responsibility towards their family members and also it awakens in them a sense of social responsibility which means very little or no time to demonstrate in the street and damaging and destroying public property. Therefore, in a nutshell, the crux of the problem is unemployment, and unemployment can be remedied by inviting and creating opportunities for outside investment. Here comes a kicker. Outside investment will not come to J & K unless an Article 370 is repealed from the state Constitution. The state government ought not to pay any attention to the movement floated by the separatists and supported by the government across the border. When unemployment issue is handled satisfactorily, these separatist movement will be automatically foiled. These separatists exploit unemployed youths. Therefore, the state government should keep aside party politics and work with the central government in deleting an Article 370 and openly invite outside investment in the manufacturing sector. This is the only way to overcome civil and political unrest in the state. It may be a bitter pill to swallow for the state government, but it is the one which one has to swallow for bringing peace and tranquility in the region. The state has been suffering for too long, now it is the time to put everything to rest and work towards uplifting the victims.

China has become a stumbling block again in the UN to pass a legislation
to declare Masood Azhar as an international terrorist . This is the
third time it has happened. In my opinion, India, US and as a matter of
fact any international civilized nation should not expect that China's
attitude towards this issue will change in the near future. The reason
being that China has lot of investment about $46 Billion in the CPEC
project alone which is saving China lot of money in the shipment of
goods from Central Asia to China They would not like to jeopardize it.
Since CPEC project is using lot of lands of Balochistan along with
Kashmir, the only way China's policy can be changed is to help Balochs
to get their independence from Pakistan. It will serve two purposes;
one that Baloch will get the benefit of abundant natural resources which
belong to them and not to Pakistan and secondly, it will help improve
Indo-China relationship. Once China's link with Pakistan is reduced,
China will have very less interest in supporting Jihadis in Pakistan.
Therefore, the key for the international community is to help Balochs to
achieve independence from Pakistan and then everything else will fall
in line.

Needless to say, if the Head of a nation wants to see the country
survive and flourish, some drastic measures are always in order. It is
nice to be gentle with others but being politically correct all the
times is not the right attitude to protect a country from the policy
consisting of bad elements. It is a human nature to oppose any time
'change' is introduced. It takes a while for the human beings to accept
change. Ultimately, they get used to. What we are witnessing in this
country in the way of demonstrations, destruction of public property and
lots of hue and cry about Trump's policies is part of normal human
brings' behavior opposing introduction of 'change'. It happened to Modi
and to the President of Argentina too. Argentina is doing much better
economically now under the new President' rule, and I am sure India will
flourish more under Modi's policy too. We are already seeing positive
impact of Trump's policies - Saudi Arabia stated that they will send
troops and armaments to Syria to fight against ISIS which Obama could
not do for 5 years, some of the sanctuary cities in Texas and Florida
are caving in due to the threat of stopping Federal cash flow to those
cities etc. I do not know how long Soro and other leftists can continue
funneling funds to these rented demonstrators, but whatever it may be,
this is a temporary phase. It will pass.

As President Trump stated many a times that this country is on a
sliding scale - militarily, financially, economically, socially and
culturally - and it requires a leader with a strong spine to initiate
some drastic steps. Country has lost its prestige in the eyes of world
leaders due to weak foreign and domestic policies emanating from DC. A
drastic turn around is warranted very badly to restore its damaged
prestige. Hopefully, USA has found a leader to turn things around, and I
think, it is the duty of all lovers of the USA to support him
wholeheartedly irrespective of our party affiliation. Election is over
and people have spoken. Let's put aside our political and personal
grievances and work together to build this nation.

The problem in J & K is a long lasting. It did not start just now, It has been there since 1947. The only difference is that this political turmoil has taken a little different shape in the sense that we all know that there are external forces who are helping the local inhabitants to create chaos in the Kashmir area. Blaming Pakistan for this political upheavals is not the solution. The solution rests with the job creation for these demonstrators. They are unemployed and/or underemployed. As they say, idle mind is a devil's mind. They have nothing to do in life and they become an easy prey of external forces to participate in the destructive activities. Needless to say, it is up to the incumbent local government to work with the central government and find ways to create an employment situation for these individuals. One way to do is to be mentally prepared to make changes in the local Constitution and repeal an Article 370. Deletion of this Article will encourage investment from other parts of India which will be helpful in creating jobs. Once these unemployed becomes employed, the turmoil in the streets will be minimized. Also, these new employed will be contributing revenue to the local exchequer which will be a win win situation. All it requires is setting aside ego and politics. When the original Constitution was written, the political situation was different. Now with the changing time and political situation, it is prudent to change the Constitution - earlier the better.
These fatwas and Mullahs' version of Islam is the problem. Most of the
Mullahs are not spiritually enlightened. They preach a distorted
version of Islam to their congregation. They have brainwashed their
congregation in the sense that the audience is not supposed to ask any
question or clarification of Mullahs' statement. Hence, the audience is
not using their brain to question and analyze what the Mullahs' say in
their sermons. First thing Mr. Trump do is to deport all illegal
Muslims from the USA that includes even the legal Muslims whose identity
has been established as a follower of ISIS ideology. Since, Mosques
are the breeding and training grounds for the future martyrs, strict
surveillance ought to be made as a mandatory condition. Thirdly, no
more construction of Mosques in the USA. Fourthly, the Mosques which
have been proven and known to the officials as the breeding found of
fundamentalists should be closed for ever and clerics should be
deported. Lastly, any donation coming to any of these mosques from
overseas should be monitored and stopped this funding.
