I could not agree more what this article refers to.  It has been a well known fact that the petro dollars flowing from a few suni Muslim countries to the fundamentalists is the cause of all the worldwide terrorist problem.  Saudi Arabia being the main source of spreading a very distorted version of Islam -Wahhabism- had a free hand so far to bring chaos in the world.  Unfortunately, due to economic personal greed on the part of many western civilized leaders, no action to counter Wahhabism has been taken.  We all know, that Muslim madrassas teach their kids that all non-Muslims are kafir and worthy to be punished which in short means that Islam has declared war on all non-Muslims.  Under this known scenario, one wonders what stops the western nations to take any severe action to challenge their way of life which is full of malevolent ideology towards rest of the world.  I think the world has suffered enough and time has come that the western nations get hold of oil wells in the middle east and make these sheikhs nomads again.

China's move and extensive deployment of naval and civilian forces presence at the Gwadar port is a further indication leading one to conclude its real intention and that is to encircle India from all sides.  It is true that China has invested lot of money to develop Gwadar port to cut cost of its cargo movement from one corner to another, but that is not the only reason China got involved in that project.  The real intention relates to its strategic military objective to bring its naval and military forces as closer as possible to the Indian territory.  I am not sure how much Pakistan will benefit from this project as far their economy is concerned, but the presence of Chinese forces in Pakistan definitely provides a sigh of relief to Pakistan in the event their is a military movement in the Indian army and naval forces towards Pakistan.  To counter this move of China, it has become more imperative for the Indian government to help the Balochs to fight for their rights and push the Pakistani and Chinese forces out of Gwadar.

I agree with most of the narrative on the Kashmir problem mentioned in this write-up.  However, I feel that in order to preserve peace in that part of India and bring prosperity, it is very important to abrogate an Article 370 from the Constitution.  The removal of this Article will help bring investment in the private sector from other regions of India which in turn help enhance an employment situation.  Once people find suitable jobs that will keep them engrossed in earning their livelihood and less time for demonstration in the street and destruction of public property.  As they say, idle mind is a devil's mind.  This can be done only by evincing full sincerity on a bi-partisan basis on the part of local, state and the central government to bring real peace in the region. Even though all politicians say that a solution to the Kashmir problem can be found only with an exchange of dialogues, but no one has so far come out with the real solution as to what those dialogues should comprise.  I personally feel that an abrogation of an Article 370 and bringing investment from other parts of India will make this region flourish again.

Dreaming is good.  But one has to understand that dreams most of the time do not become reality.  What CM of J & K is saying in her statement is something which can be seen as a mission accomplished in dreams.  India has been trying to see exactly what Ms. Mehbooba is saying, but all in vain.  It needs two hands to clap.  Pakistani government's hands have been tied behind its back.  Hence, one will not hear the clapping till their hands are set free to act to accomplish this objective.  Instead I think Ms. Mehbooba should do everything she can to muzzle the separatists in her state, block their funding from across the border, monitor and control their activities.

Abansal, you are forgetting that it is the Muslim men in power who with the support of Mullah's distorted interpretation of the Quran suppress Muslim women and treat them like a third class citizens especially in the Muslim countries. India is the only country which has the most tolerant power in the world. Can you drive alone, walk alone, walk with a stranger, can you vote in Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar etc.? You cann't. You should be thankful that the Indian government has taken an initiative to ally the suffering of Muslim women. Women on their own, as you emphasized, cann't overcome this hurdle. They need legal/official support, and not the support of Muslim Personal Law which speaks against a common interest of women. Instead of rebuking men in general, you should be thankful to them that at least their is a motion in progress to help a female Muslim community.

Tuesday, October 25, 2016

Mr. Owaissi is not a friend of Muslim Women's cause as far as Muslim Personal Law is concerned.  He is just like other politicians who just talk with no action benefiting the community.  Under Muslim Personal Law, women have been strapped, they feel helpless without any recourse of relief.  People like Owaissi ought to work with the local and governmental authorities to allay the fear of Muslim female community by introducing reforms in the system.  There is too much interference by the Mullahs in the lives of female community which keep the latter in the back burner in the society.  They need to be educated to the extent of their ability and capability.  Since Owaissi brothers are fighting against the interest of female Muslim community, I think it is the right moment that these women should not forget the ultimate interest of the Owaissi brother which is to suppress the women in the community to keep their voting bank alive.  I think Muslim women should wake up and divulge their anger at the voting booth in the next election and throw these brothers out of politics for ever.

The attack at Uri post is shameful and alarming because in spite of the fact that the management there had prior notification for the impending attack even then no precaution or preventive measures were taken resulting in the death of 17 military personnel with lot of others being injured.  I am not sure if Indian government is thinking of a direct military attack on Pakistan which might eventually lead to a full scale war.  However, what Indian government is doing is right by isolating Pakistan diplomatically, economically and socially in that region. In addition, since we know that CPEC project is going to be something the whole nation of Pakistan believes to rely on for its welfare and economic prosperity, and it is being guarded by may be 10,000 military personnel, the Indian government should work with the Balochs in forming a special unit to disrupt that operation.  This is for couple of reasons; one being that the route from CPEC to China goes through the POK and Gilgit area which are part of India, and this passage ought not to be violated without the permission of an Indian government.  Secondly, this will be a counter measure to teach Pakistan a lesson of what they have been doing with their proxies from Pakistan.  Short of a full scale war, this will serve Indian purpose without lifting a gun.

He is a good talker and a puppet of Middle-Eastern Sheikhs especially Saudi Arabia.  He dances on their tune to spread Wahhabism version of Islam which is a distorted version of Islam. This version spreads hate, bigotry and ill-treatment towards non-Muslims and minorities.  It works against very fundamental rights of human beings.  Female community has no say in the house, no rights and privileges.  They are treated like subservient.  Dr. Naik's job is to spread this type of religion, and more recruits he brings under this distorted version of Islam, more money and other rewards he obtains from the Sheikhs.  What Government of India is doing is a step in the right direction.  He is not a religious scholar, he is a businessman.  Shutting down his operation in India is the right decision.

What central and state governments are doing to solve an internal riddle of Kashmir issue is worth noting.  The local government is trying to set up a dialogue with the separatist groups with the help of central government hoping to find an ultimate solution which will appeal and appease all stakeholders.  However, due to reluctance on the part of separatist groups leaders, the governments have not been successful so far - but the step is at least in the right direction.  As we know, the jihadis across the border are hell bent to create chaotic situation in Kashmir by sending infiltrators and suicide bombers.  The latest announcement by Salahuddin of one of the militant outfits in Pakistan is a live example.  He is not the only one, there are many many more who are doing their best to disrupt the peaceful environment in Kashmir.  I wonder if the central government ever contemplated or is contemplating a selective killings of these monsters- wherever they are.  Because as the adage goes, to defeat the army, it is essential to kill the leader leading that army.

Pakistan has been trying to make an outstanding issue of Kashmir as an international flash point since 1947, but all in vain.  All the previous Prime Ministers tried their best to keep this issue alive in the eyes of all other nations via. the United Nations.  However, every time the response from the audience was the same which led to their conclusion that this is an internal matter and ought to be sorted out by India and Pakistan only.  Unfortunately, Pakistan is not getting this message.  Now what Prime Minster Sharif is doing is putting the monkey on the back of his Parliamentarians to internationalize this outstanding issue.  This seems like he has found a scapegoat  and is shifting the burden to the legislators.  But he is forgetting one thing and that is that being the Prime Minister of a country he can delegate that authority, but cann't escape his responsibility.  Ultimately, he is responsible to his citizens on this issue.  Therefore, deputing some legislators on this is like swaying a sword in the dark which will not result in anything positive.  It is just an eyewash to divert people's attention away from him.

Indeed it is a good news that the international forum - United Nations - has accepted and confirmed 6 residential addresses of a fugitive gang leader Dawood in Pakistan even though the Pakistani government has been denying his existence in its territory from day one.  But this confirmation by the United Nations is not enough to arrest him and bring him to justice for the crimes he committed in 1993.  What is needed to know is to find out what kind of teeth this announcement has to achieve the ultimate objective to punish this fugitive for his crimes.  Can United Nations force the Pakistani government to arrest him and hand him over to the Indian government?  If not, then what good is this confirmation of addresses?  How and what does India gain anything out of this announcement?  UN needs to initiate a resolution to slap stringent sanctions on Pakistan for harboring a criminal who is responsible for the death of hundreds of innocent people in India.  India ought to lobby on this issue with the help of USA, Russia and other friendly countries in the civilized world.

I admire the judgement of UK court against Mr. Choudary.  He claims and feels proud to be the narrator of Sharia Law for the last 20 years and considers it a service to the Muslim community believing in the Sharia Law.  He also claims that the book of Sharia Law is a divine text.  I wonder if he meant that it is a divine text for the Jihadi Muslims only.  Because under the Sharia Law, there is no freedom for the female community - no education for them, no acceptance of LGBT community, no tolerance for the non-Muslim communities, and it basically leads one to the caliphate state - killing and torturing innocent people.  This text does not lead any one to the spiritualism. So, how can it be a divine text? Mr. Choudary and his followers are bunch of brainwashed militants who deserve severe punishment.  They are the traitors.  While living in the UK excite others to rise against the nation which is feeding them.  They are bunch of people who are exploiting the soft tenets of democracy.  They need to be treated with a heavy handedness.  Kudos to the UK judicial system.

I agree with the factual narration of our Kashmir issue with Pakistan. I also agree with him about the conclusion of how it is going to be resolved. In my opinion there are three ways to look at the Kashmir issue. One being, to accept LOC as the international boundary which will not guarantee prevalence of peace in the area because of non-state actors' efforts to disrupt any agreement between India and Pakistan, second being, keep fighting the ways both nations have been fighting since 1947 and the third being what the writer of this article has insinuated and that is to have a full scale war and the winner takes it all. No third party is needed to solve this issue. If there is a war now between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir border, I do not think China, a big brother of Pakistan, will get involved because of covert backing from the USA to India.

In a way Chinese leader visiting India is insinuating that India should not follow other countries who are objecting an encroachment of China in the South China Sea.  Also, he is hinting that if India does not follow what China is insinuating, there could be business repercussions.  I think India ought not to listen to China on this issue at all.  China never helped India on any international issue.  Why should India come to support China on this illegal occupation of international waters.  China should abide by the United Nations Tribunal judgment. India should not support China on any issue unless China first vacate Indian territory occupied by them in the Ladakh area, shun all claims on Arunachal Prades and start stamping Indian Passports for the people of Kashmir visiting China along with supporting India for the entry in the NSG.  As far as business tariff situation is concerned, it should always be reciprocal failing which there should not be any business agreement.  Choice should be of China what they want to do.  Do they want an acrimonious relationship with India or live in a friendly environment in that region?

The type of diplomatic treatment provided to Mr. Rajnath Singh in Pakistan is deplorable. No respect was accorded to him which every delegate representing his/her government deserves. Pakistani leadership treated him like a third class citizen.  I think it was a mistake on the part of an Indian government to send Mr. Singh to Pakistan.  Even his counterpart in the host country avoided Mr. Singh to shake hand at least to show some courtesy.  The Indian government should take a cue from this incident and declare their decision that in future no Indian dignitary will visit Pakistan till the Pakistani government eradicates the existence of all the non-state militant actors from its soil.  Those militants who were demonstrating in the vicinity of venue of SAARC meeting were supported by the nexus of Pakistani military/ISI.  It shows that this was a pre-planned activity with the blessing of Pakistani leadership.  Mr. Khan is giving India a lecture not to attack an unarmed people in Kashmir which is not what is happening in Kashmir.  These separatists are fully armed and supported by Pakistan. May be Mr. Khan is forgetting what his own government is doing in Balochistan and in other territories.  They are killing innocent unarmed people mercilessly.  Let's talk about it Mr. Khan. Till Pakistan eradicates terrorism from its soil, India should show a zero tolerance dealing with Pakistan - no flexibility at all.

I agree with Mr. Alok's comments.  It was a mistake on the part of an Indian government to send Mr. Singh to Pakistan where he was not treated properly, no respect was accorded to him which every delegate representing his/her government deserves. This policy ought to have zero tolerance - no flexibility at all.

Everything in this article is true of what Sharia Law dictates and Islam in general propagates.  However, the problem is as to how to convince the liberals that a big tidal wave of Islamism is approaching the civilian society and it is about time to erect a dam to control the flow of this tide.  Liberals are so spineless and limpy that they do not have the courage to stand up to these radicals and shut them up in their own country - Angela Merkel is a live example.  In my opinion, all Muslims, a few 'exceptions' are not part of my statement, are anti non-Muslims.  If you are not Muslim, you are Kafir and worthy to be punished.  Even the few 'exceptions', as I referred above, hate non-Muslims and given an opportunity, they will follow their brothers and sisters and be ready to punish the non-Muslims.  A benign behavior shown by those 'exceptions' is just a sign of compromise because they know that they cann't win against the western nations yet.  In fact, those 'exceptions' are helping the radicals to stay alive in the western nations.  Live example is what is happening in Europe and in America.  One cann't criticize any act of Muslim against the non-Muslim because it will be considered as racist.  Black Lives Matter movement originated by opportunists civil leaders is helping Muslims also to stay alive and thrive on the weak and lenient tenets of democratic constitution.  Without a strong leader (s) in America and Europe, time may not be too far when caliphate will replace our fundamental rights of - life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Europe has started paying a heavy price in the shape of destruction of public property as well as loss of lives of innocent civilians due to the activities of fundamentalists.  It is all because of liberal policies of European leaders.  Leaders with deep pockets full of petro-dollars have a long term vision and planning to overcome the West, and once they achieve their objective, the West will be ruled by the Sharia Law.  Everybody knows then what the life style of people will be.  The time is not in favor of civilized world. Jihadis can wait and keep doing what they are doing which is eliminating us in installments  with the help of their sleeping cells.  It is about time the civilized nations and leaders wake up and keep aside politics and personal greed, and initiate stern measures to eradicate the existence of jihadis.  It can be done only by one way and that is to confiscate the source of their revenue and financial aid emanating from the Sheikhs.  The western nations have to sooner or later face these Middle Eastern Sheikhs and stop cash flow to the Jihadis, failing which the situation will take a very unimaginable turn.

Apologizing after a presumed terrorist got killed is a shame.  Deputy Chief Minister's statement is a discouragement to the security forces who are doing a fabulous job in keeping the Kashmir political issues under control.  Even if Mr. Wani was not a terrorist, but the fact that he was caught in the same house with other known terrorists is enough justification for the armed forces to neutralize him. There is no reason to apologize and justify armed forces' action.  We ought to commend what the security forces are doing.  Kashmir isssue is a very sensitive issue and it cann't be handled by the limpy leaders.  You need leaders with a strong backbone to bring this issue under control.

There should not be any question in any body's mind that Dr. Zakir Naik has no interest to be a true Indian and is purely living his luxurious life with the pay check being issued to him by the Saudi Kingdom, and all he has to do is to recruit more people in the Muslim basket. I am afraid that those who get converted into Islam by narrating one of the Arabic lines from the Koran are mentally weak people and could become tomorrow's suicide bombers. Recent statements from his ex-associates have revealed as to how his organization plants people into his seminars and show them being converted into Islam with a handsome bonus of 50,000 rupees. Also, last year, Saudi government awarded him with a gift of $250,000 for his services along with a credential of appreciation for his pro-Islam service in recruiting more people. I think people like him are very dangerous for the national security and ought to be stopped functioning in the country. In addition, I would suggest that the Indian government ought to have a very serious and direct talk with the Saudi leaders to stop this type of enticement and effort to break the social and cultural fabric of India. I know India has very good relationship with the Saudis, but this type of covert activity on the part of Saudis is counter productive. Being a good friend, they should understand Indian government's position, and if not, then the Indian government should revisit its own foreign policy towards Saudi Arabia. Indian government should not allow any financial assistance from any foreign country to the NGOs. These are the basic steps Indian government should initiate right away, before it is too late. You do not want to see India suffering like Europe is from the Jihadi fundamentalist ideology.

In view of Prime Minister of Pakistan's latest speech in the Azad Kashmir area to the effect that he is waiting for the time when Kashmir becomes part of Pakistan, Ms. Mufti's suggestion to temporarily put aside an AFSPA for some of the areas in J & K sounds really temporary because Pakistan is not going to decrease its emphasis on the militancy activities in that area. However, just to appease her, may be the central government ought to give this suggestion a chance to see if situation improves in the area where this Act is temporarily put on hold. But this request should be acceded to only predicated on a few conditions, and they could be that it will be the responsibility of her local government to make sure there are no anti-India demonstrations, processions, no unfurling of ISIS and Pakistani flags, no damage to the state property and no killings of innocent civilians.  Would that be acceptable to Ms. Mufti?  Is she confident enough and have faith in the capability of her local police to deliver this commitment?  If so, it may be worth trying, failing which the central government reserves the right to restore AFSPA immediately.

Mr. Saeed has been supporting the separatist movement in J & K for a long time.  There is no secret about it, or may be I should say that Pakistani military and ISI nexus is keeping this issue alive with the support of brainwashed non-state actors like Mr. Saeed and company.  They are doing it to divert the attention of Pakistanis from the failed domestic policies of Pakistani government.  Recently Mr. Nawaz Sharif also emphasized on this burning issue and said, I am paraphrasing, that he is waiting for the day Kashmir issue is settled.  Now the only difference which has taken a little bit different angle is a clear announcement by these militant leaders' group that if the Indian government does not accept the suggestion of separatists in J & K, 'there will be a war'.  They are demonstrating and taken out procession from Lahore to Islamabad to make their point.  This cann't be done unless they have the blessing of the above cited nexus.  Now the ball is in the court of India how to combat this declaration of war.  In my opinion, this war of words and killing in installments in the area of J & K will continue, unless Pakistan is further disintegrated into four separate states - Sindh, Balochistan KPP and Panjab.

Pakistan has been humiliated in the UN over the issue of Kashmir.  This is not the first time it happened.  Pakistan has faced a similar situation many a times before, and if I may say, Pakistan has been given a similar response by all the international forums since 1947.  But the leaders in Pakistan are so either ignorant or playing dumb and do not want to understand the voice of international community on this issue.  The US Congress has again with a large majority conveyed a similar message and declined to entertain this issue, and rather they have recommended to cut all kinds of funding, avoiding issuance of visas to Pakistan's military and civilians for the USA.  I do not know how else clearly Pakistan can be told to stop this futile exercise of discussing Kashmir issue.  Congress is right while pointing out that Pakistan abets, finance, trained and orchestrate activities of militants in Pakistan against India and other countries.  Anytime anywhere suicide bomber attacks innocent people, the roots are found in Pakistan.  Pakistan has been a epicenter of terrorism.  In my opinion, Pakistan is keeping the Kashmir issue alive to divert its citizens' attention away from the domestic policy failures of the government in Islamabad.  I blame Pakistani military also in this respect.  They are equally responsible for the failure of Pakistan.  As long as this Kashmir issue remains alive, military's prestige, position and survival will remain in tact.  If Pakistani leaders, including military establishment, want to make Pakistan a peaceful country, why don't they put all non-state militant actors behind bars.  Pakistan always had duel face while dealing with the international community.  Unfortunately, the time has come that they cann't fool the whole world any more.

Universally, there are two institutions which create jobs and employ people to run the economy.  One is the government and the other one is a private sector.  People employed by the government are lazy, inefficient, unproductive and inept to do the job with any fruitful results.  Unfortunately, every country has to have this baggage to carry and employ some people to take care of governmental operations and responsibilities.  This may be the largest source of employment, but its effectiveness is never up to the mark.  This basically is a source of nepotism, corruption, waste and misuse of resources.  But this is one of the devils one has to live with it.  This sector does not contribute anything worthwhile towards the prosperity of a country.

The second entity - a private sector - in my opinion, is the only way to create jobs - jobs which produce some gainful and worthwhile results for the economy.  Therefore, it is very essential to incentivize this sector by creating a favorable long term low corporate tax structures, minimum corporate laws to provide CEOs the ability to compete globally.  What Ireland is doing is doable by any country provided the leaders think in national terms and not just trying to be politically correct and operate under the principles of socialism.  Socialism is a killer.  It makes people subservient to the government, make them lethargic, recipients lose their sense of thinking independently, they become inefficient and ultimately become burden on the society.  Socialism is needed for the REALLY REALLY needy people who cann't work at all, disabled, handicapped etc.  It is government's moral responsibility to take care of those citizens.  But the way socialism in this country is misused is mind boggling.  let's see what the next election brings in the plate.

Tuesday, July 12, 2016

However, as I see this black discrimination issue in this country, it is spreading like mushroom.  Blacks are killing blacks, whites are killing blacks indiscriminately.  This is occurring between both police vs. civilians and civilians vs. civilians.  As far as hatred and killing are concerned, to some extent it is taking the shape of Muslims vs. non-Muslims.  As far as blacks in this country are concerned, I blame lack of education, broken family structure, lack of job opportunities and the evil of socialism - handouts - as the main causes of their backwardness and crime.  This riddle can be solved only by working together as a team.  This team will involve the local police force, the civil right activists (not opportunists like Al Sharpton and Jacksons) and the church leaders.  Along with this, the parents have to make sure that their kids have at least up to 12 Grade level education which does not cost much - it is going to be basically free for the underprivileged kids.  This education will mend their way of thinking about life and they can become productive citizens, instead of relying on handouts.  Also, it is incumbent upon the local governments to create some technical training programs for these 12 grade graduates.  As soon as they graduate, they can enroll into these technical training programs.  I think time is of the essence to initiate this type of thinking for these underprivileged kids failing which this country will find itself embroiled into something very unimaginable and unmanageable civil turmoil.

What Mr. Junaid is saying makes sense.  Local Kashmiri people excluding the separatists ought to exchange dialogues among the local. state and the central governments by voicing their grievances on whatever problem they may be facing. Peaceful discussion on these issues is the only way to find a permanent solution to this on-going devastating situation.  As Mr. Junaid pointed out that the Kashmiris, under the influence of Kashmiri separatists who in turn were exhorted, financed, abetted and controlled by Pakistan, have been fighting with the government for 26 years and have not been able to come to any fruitful conclusion.  All they have done is to bury many of their innocent brothers and sisters in this struggle. Voicing opinion and demanding their fundamental rights, if they are being violated, is part of a democracy.  But it needs to be peacefully.

Thursday, July 7, 2016

Dr. Naik by no means a saint who is propagating un-Islamic interpretation of Islam.  His main motive in his gathering is to convert people to Islam by denigrating all other religions.  He is a puppet of Saudi Arabia.  Saudis are using him to push forward their version of Wahhabism Islam which is a concocted version of Islam.  As we know, this version of Islam treats women and other minorities as a second class citizens.  Women cann't drive, they have to be accompanied by a blood relative while going out, they cann't vote, no access to education.  Basically, their life is reduced to a slave.  One ought not be surprised if one of the suicide bombers was influenced by Dr. Naik's sermons before committing this heinous crime in Bangladesh.  As we know, UK, Canada, Malaysia and Indonesia have barred Dr. Naik's entry into their country.  I think it is about time for the governments of all civilized nations, including Bangladesh and India, to monitor his activities and shut down his TV channel and bar him delivering any sermons in the country.  He should not be allowed to have any religious gathering in the country.  I will put him in the same category as the Owaisi brothers - Anti-Indians

Monday, July 4, 2016

I agree with the person who has filed a complaint against Mr. Owaisi on the charges of anti-India sentiments.  His offer of legal help to the ISIS inspired/directed people is propagating further a cause of terrorism.  This is not the first time Mr. Owaisi and his brother have shown their ill feelings towards India.  They have done it many a times before openly.  Their act is never a pro-India.  They always use Muslim cause as a pretext to maintain their own prestigious position in their constituencies.  Instead of working with the community leaders of other religions to uplift the Muslim community, they always play a race card to fulfill their motive.  It is about time that state and central governments track their activities, and if proven, declare them as traitors and let them face their date in the court.  Showing any type of leniency for anti-national people is not the right decision.

Friday, June 24, 2016

Mr. Bhatt, I understand the challenge and risk involved in initiating a bold action to eradicate a Jihadi ideology.  I also understand the extent of collateral damage which can and rather will ensue from such an action.  But we should not forget that these brain washed bunch of radicalized people have declared war on all civilized people including moderate Muslims.  We all have a decision to make.  Should we allow them to pursue their mission and kill or control all innocent civilized people, and unfurl their flag and run our lives in pursuance of Sharia Law or should we eradicate them with all the military might once and for all.  Yes, there will be a collateral damage.  When there is a war, there is bound to be a collateral damage.  Mr. Obama's policy in this respect is a complete failure.  His action in the Middle East is about 3 years late effort to do something in this matter.  If you remember his earlier statements about ISIS, he referred to ISIS as a JV team, and he also said if they wear Lakers' Jersey, they do not become Lakers.  Then he said many a times that we have contained ISIS.  When we know that the objective should have been to eradicate them and not to contain them.  Now we all know that instead of containing them or defeating them, we have allowed them to spread its tentacles globally.  So, Mr. Bhatt, you can see that civilized community has to make a decision - either we allow the bad actors to come to our shores and kill us in installments - 10, 50 100 or 3000 - or we go with all the fire power wherever they are and kill them all in one shot and have rest of the world live in peace.  Decision is ours.

Thursday, June 23, 2016

If moderate Muslim nations are really interested in eradicating Muslim Jihadi mentality, they will use all their military might to stand with the western nations to eliminate ISIS from the face of this earth.  They are coward and just watching the show from the side.  Therefore, the first problem is that majority of moderate Muslims in the world, not only in the Middle East, are afraid of raising their voice against barbaric acts of ISIS.  Recently, ISIS leaders beheaded 4 years old child in front of his Mom and forced his Mom to dip her hand into the blood of her son. How heinous it is even to think of this type of act?  The second and main problem with this Jihadi mentality is the flow of petro dollars via Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait and other Suni countries. The ideology of Wahhabism version of Islam is brain washing the Muslims in the Madrasses - those Suni countries are financing worldwide Madrasses to prepare tomorrow's martyres.  Time is now to stop flow of petro dollars to the private so called Muslim charitable institutions/Madrasses/Mosques before it is too late.  It is not the time to be politically correct in this matter.  Time is to face the evil upfront and defeat it.
Mr. Cameron in UK is not the only one who does not want to upset the Muslim Community in order to be politically correct, there are many other leaders including the leaders in the United States who follow suit.  It is unfortunate that these leaders give more credence to this Muslim Jihadi ideology over the life of innocent civilians who become the victims of this ideology.  In my opinion, whenever any innocent civilian becomes victim of this ideology, it is not the Muslim killer who has blood on his hand for this crime, but also all those who do not speak against this evil ideology including the ones who support those leaders shielding this jihadi ideology in order to be politically correct. I wonder what it is going to take for the literate modern Muslims and all those who blindly support those 'politically correct' leaders to stop this nonsense.  How many innocent lives have to be sacrificed - like a sacrificial lamb - before these so called moderates will wake up and do justice to those innocent victims.  Are they waiting for some direct hit to themselves before changing their pattern of voting?  But let me tell you something, if we do not become proactive in this matter, the time is not too far before this menace will knock at your door also.  Then it will be too late.  We ought to lead this mission by electing people who are fighting against this menace instead of following from behind.

America has been suggesting, asking and sometimes warning Pakistan for number of years to initiate action towards ameliorating relationship with India and also channeling their resources to eradicate terrorism from the territory of Pakistan.  But, as the whole world knows, Pakistan is not paying any attention to this issue and most of the terrorists found to be with their roots in Pakistan.  Pakistan has become an epicenter of terrorism and the whole world is paying the price.  Mr. Modi's another attempt to highlight terrorism in that part of the world in front of the House is not going to entail any different results.  Positive results can be seen only if leaders of USA confront directly with the elite of Pakistani military and  look eye to eye and warn them with serious military consequences if terrorism is not eradicated from their territory and legal action is not initiated against all non-state actors.  This needs a real serious and genuine thought process - no politics.  Exchanging dialogues with the civilian government in Islamabad is a waste of time. Civilian government has no say as far as foreign policy with India is concerned.  Is White House really serious in solving this enigmatic issue?

Is anyone surprised by the response or outcome of Pakistani JIT's  efforts to investigate a Pathankot incident?  I am not.  Only the naive ought to be surprised.  We know that these attacks are abetted, financed and orchestrated with the blessing of a Pakistani nexus of military and ISI.   These  non-state actors who are being used by the ISI against India are not going to go away, no matter what type of diplomatic efforts are introduced.  Pakistan is a failed state and it will dies on its own.  The seeds of radicalization will soon grow so big that it will be difficult for Pakistan to control.  I think India is doing a favor to Pakistan to break that nation into four separate countries - Balochistan, Sindh, KPP and Pakistan- if the alleged involved of India is true.  That will make Pakistan more manageable and the life of people will be better managed.

It is true that the main cause of Talibs turning into brainwashed fanatic terrorists is the not only the poverty, but there are other factors also which play a major role in converting the behavior of these personnel into something inhuman.  However, I still think the main and very important factor which plays the major role in converting these personnel into terrorist is the flow of  'petro-dollar'.  Saudi Arabia being the culprit using these innocent people to propagate their version of Wahhabism - a twisted version of Islam - needs to be stopped.  Saudis have been spending billions of dollars in flourishing Madrassas all over the world, especially in Pakistan, to recruit these innocent children to make them martyrs of future to achieve their so called religious objective.  Pakistan being a beggar country has no choice but to accept these grants from the Saudis at the cost of security of their own nation.  Pakistani government is forgetting that these madrasses will play a counter productive role and the students coming out of these madrasses will eventually become a threat to Pakistan itself.  They are sowing the seeds of their own destruction by opening up these madrasses all over the country.  It is true that weaker Pakistan is not a healthy situation for India due to the influence of these fanatics in Pakistan, and it is in the interest of India to make sure that Pakistan does not fall in the hands of these brainwahed non-state actors.

I agree 100% with the contents of this article.  Pakistan has been playing a dual game with the USA and milking Billions of dollars under one pretext or another.  Even though it is getting all the military hardware with he pretext to use it against the Taliban, but instead it is deploying and using it against India.  However, I admire a serious effort being made by the civilian government in Islamabad to improve relations between India and Pakistan, but it is the nexus of Pakistani military/ISI which is defeating this purpose.  Every time there is a hope to proceed with the peace process, the fanatic Muslim non-state actors with the abettment and financing of this nexus derail this process.  Therefore, it is very essential to leash the Pakistani military and make them subservient to the Pakistani civilian government.  Unfortunately, no country can do it except the USA.  Hence, it is incumbent upon the US government to put all sorts of military, economic, diplomatic overt and covert pressure on the Pakistani army to shut up and work with the civilian government to ameliorate relationship with India and Afghanistan in a true sense.  Also, show a sincere effort to eradicate terrorism from the Pakistani territory by stopping all sorts of assistance to the non-state actors.

Needless to say, Uk, like many other countries, is a democratic country and Mr. Sadiq Khan has won a Mayoral election via a legitimate democratic process. One cann't blame a winner candidate who has been elected by the citizens of UK through legal means. Representatives of Liberty GB, like many others, are now crying over spilled milk. I think it is little too late. I agree with the representative of Liberty GB 100% that within the next 20 some years, one should not be surprised if the people of England choose a Muslim Prime Minister and the country will be run by the Sharia Law.The Whites ought not to blame any one else except themselves. It is their own creation. It is a negligence on the part of moderate and ignorant Whites in the UK. It is due to their laxed immigration policy towards Muslims. The Whites did not and still do not understand a long term objective of Muslims which is to control any country via increasing their representation through demographic landscape. It is not happening in the UK only, the whole Europe is suffering from this menace and, as I said above, I just blame ridiculous immigration policies of Europe - open borders along with free access from one country to another. What officials in the UK and Europe need is a very stringent immigration policy which will deport all illegal Muslim population to their respective countries along with very tough law against terrorism. It is still not late. They can overcome this menace. However, what is needed is a bunch of tough leaders in Europe to eradicate this menace. MY hat is off to Mr. Donald Trump's harsh and hard guidelines to control this menace.

Non state fanatic actors in Pakistan are trying to hijack Islam further by increasing pressure on the duly elected democratic governments to punish those who are not Sunis and especially those who are not Muslims.  If one reviews the intention of Mohammed Jinah - the founder of Pakistan - one will find that the idea of creating Pakistan was predicated on the principle of secularism - which means all people irrespective of their faith and religious practice, will have equal rights and freedom of speech.  Unfortunately, by the passing of time, that fundamental principle has been lost in the shuffle and the fundamentalism has taken over the lives of minorities in Pakistan.  It is a shame.   Unfortunately, the elected government in Islamabad - which is on a shaky grounds these days due to leaks revealed from the Panama Papers- is incapable of controlling these non state actors because the latter has the in-built blessing of the nexus of Pakistani military/ISI.  So what is the solution to control this wave of religious ( if that is the right word to use in Pakistan) fanaticism?  Since Pakistan is a nuclear nation, it is important to find a solution to control these non state actors failing which the time is not too far when those nukes can be found in the lap of these non state actors and then one does not have to talk about the aftermath of their use.  It will be a devastating scenario for the world for a long time to come.  There is a time now and now only that the civilized world wakes up and put all sorts of pressure on the Pakistani military to withdraw their support to these non state actors and dismantle their operations once and for all from the territory of Pakistan.  Needless to say, still lot of petro dollars are funneled to these non state actors by the Suni governments which ought to be stopped right away.  The ball is in the court of civilized nations to join hands and eradicate this Islamic fundamentalism from the face of this earth.

Three cheers for the radicalized Muslims in Pakistan.  Their perseverance has paid off and compelled the civilian government in Islamabad to bow in front of non-state brain washed group of militants.  This may be a good news for bunch of non-state actors, but the literate class of people in Pakistan should mourn on this issue.  This decision is not a good news for the minority groups in Pakistan either.  Their safety issue has become more important than before.  What this whole circus showed is that militants with the help of nexus of Pakistani military and ISI have been gaining grounds day by day and the time is not too far when Pakistan will adopt Sharia Law replacing the Pakistani constitution.  This writer feels that slowly and slowly Pakistan is digging its own hole to be buried.

When Mr. Jinnah opted for a separate nation called Pakistan, he had a vision to have a Muslim nation which will have a secular view which means all inhabitants irrespective of their religion will be treated equally, fairly and respectfully.  Unfortunately, with the passage of time, that vision has disappeared from Pakistan and fanaticism has replaced that good virtue of administration.  A bunch of Non state brain washed actors have taken over the country.  Unfortunately, the nexus of Pakistani military/ISI is aiding, abetting and organizing the activities of these non state actors and use them as proxies to fulfill their own objective.  The recent cases of blasphemy is just an excuse to get rid of minorities in Pakistan.  Every day, there are demonstrations on this issue, and as this article states, now the non state actors are openly demanding the implementation of Sharia Law in Pakistan.  This writer wonders if Pakistan is going to be like a country operating on the religious philosophy of what is being practiced in Saudi Arabia.  Certainly, the current wave of symptoms is pretty clear and leads one to draw that conclusion.  If that is the case, I wonder what the literate elite of Pakistan is thinking?  Is the present government in Islamabad capable of saving the country before it turns itself into a stone age?  Is the nexus of Pakistani military/ISI going to eradicate terrorism from their own territory and tie a leash around the neck of all non-state actors?  Because if neither the civilian government nor the above nexus is ready to contain these non-state actors, the day of doom for Pakistan is not too far.

As we know, Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry are in favor of selling F-16s to Pakistan.  Mr. Kerry even stated categorically that it is critical for Pakistan to have F-16s to fight terrorism in that part of the world.  He also stated that he is concerned that ISI which is Pakistani military and secret service outfit collaborating with the terrorists.  Is he not   contradicting himself?  Secondly, Mr. Kerry ought to know that Pakistan does not need F-16s type technologically advanced fighter planes to fight with the terrorists who are equipped with rudimentary equipment - which are no match to F-16s.  So, the whole story of supplying F-16s to Pakistan seems a concocted one and has no solid footings.  In my opinion, what these out of the way gestures going to do is to tilt India more towards Russia for its needs of military equipment and the USA will lose a rich and prosperous client

These days lot of anti-India voices are being raised about Kashmir via the mouthpiece of professors and other personnel at the Jawaharlal Nehru University.  It smells like they have the support of a nation across the border which must be suppressed.  These statements are putting fuel on fire and creating an atmosphere of hate and civil commotion in Kashmir.  I am not an expert of an Indian
Constitution, but it certainly sounds like exciting people against an established government in India and may be treated as a sedition.  Government has to tackle this situation with a full resolve to suppress this type of mentality among the literate class.  I believe nipping the evil in the bud.  Yes, arresting a few brain washed students and professors will ignite this flame may be nationally, but it is worth to handle it with a heavy hand instead of gambling with this ideology of anti-nationalism.

If there is any truth to this story that Pakistani nexus of military/ISI is training the ISIS and providing them all sorts of light and heavy equipment to fight the so-called infidels - Afghan forces - one wonders if this action is counter productive to eradicating the existence of ISIS.  One thing is sure that there is a lot of confusion and contradiction in this effort.  Is it not that this nexus is helping the ISIS to flex its muscles in more territories around that part of the world?  Also, Pakistan is surviving on the cash flow from Saudis, and to help flourish ISIS is not in the interest of Saudis.  So, the question is if Saudis are going to plug the cash flow channel to Pakistan.  Secondly, the USA is trying, along with the help of other nations, to eradicate ISIS from the face of this earth.  Then, is it not the latest announcement from the White House to award Pakistan with 8 F16 counter productive and contradictory to their basic philosophy of eradicating ISIS?  Thirdly, I do not think Pakistan needs F16 to fight against the Talibans in Pakistan.  Talibans are not equipped with that kind of arsenal where Pakistani forces need to use F16.  They are trying to get F16 to use against India.  Therefore the whole idea of arming Pakistan with F16 is baseless and counter productive to a strategic relationship between India and the USA.  In my opinion, the legislative branch ought to decline this request emanating from the White House, and Saudis should also give a second thought to help Pakistan financially in the future.

Initial steps taken by the Pakistani government in this matter are very encouraging.  But the real intent will be revealed by the type of punishment accorded to the culprits.  However, this writer has his own apprehension after reading Mr. Sartaz Aziz's comment to the effect that Mr. Azhar has been arrested along with others and he will be punished if proof 'beyond doubts' are found. the word 'if' is very critical and provides lot of leeway to the Pakistani government to punish or not to punish Mr. Azhar.  Pakistani establishment has used this leeway in the past in case of Mr. Lakhvi and Mr. Sayeed who orchestrated 26/11 attack in Mumbai.  That case is still hanging in the air without any positive outcome satisfactory to the Indian government.  Pakistani government, as per press reports, has shut down the madrassaes run by JeM.  Their action raises one very important question in my mind.  When the Pakistani government knows the anti-Indian activities of this organization, why do they have to wait for some tragedy to take place fist before these madrassaes are shut down.  There are many other madrassaes run by other non-state actors in Pakistan, why does not the Pakistani government shut them down too now.  Saudi Arabia is financing these madrassaes to proliferate their version of Islam - Wahhabism, along with a cash flow for the Pakistani exchequer.  Is it the reason that Pakistani government does not want to shut down these seminaries and upset its cash-cow?  Anyhow, what ever the reason may be, Pakistan is equally responsible for helping terrorism flourish in the world because these martyrs originate from Pakistan.  In my opinion, the Indian government ought not to arrange any meetings with Pakistan unless a satisfactory punishment is accorded to the culprits involved in the Pathankot case

There is one problem with the approach you wrote in the last line. This gives the fanatics a chance to start nuclear war without getting hold of actual nuclear weapons. Let's say we told them if one more strike happens it will be all out war. whether we do it behind the curtains or publicly have little bearing on the outcome. It is an established fact that Pak army do not have full control over the fanatic elements. It is an established fact that our security establishment is not capable to pre-emptively stop the attacks. So when the next attack comes the Indian govt have only one option of war left to them irrespective of the fact that we are sure it was done by pak establishment or it was a rogue attack. The ensuing war will go nuclear in first week if NATO, China and Russia are not able to force both the the countries down.
In case of nuclear Armageddon lets assume we kill 100% of Pak population and they are able to kill just 10% of ours. The outcome is our economy is devastated and the we become target of global Islamic fanatics. The problem of terrorism instead of being solved increases manifold for us.
In case we are forced to stop the war by 3rd parties, we end up failing our objective of starting the war, moreover the fanatics in Pak get the ammo to swell their ranks. So we end up increasing the threat of terrorism with lot of Indians dead and we end up under the heels of either NATO or China as a tool in their rivalry.
Hope now you understand why the successive govt even with vastly diff ideology (Cong vs BJP) end up doing the same things w.r.t. Pak. The only option at the moment to solve our problem is peace between the population of two nations
No one is saying that peace is not desired and the only way to have peace between these two countries is through negotiation. Unfortunately, these negotiations have been going on for the last 66 years without any positive and concrete results. As far as people being killed, both countries are suffering due to violation and counter violation on the LoC - Kashmir being a major political issue hanging in the air. Per my opinion, there are three options open to India to solve Kashmir problem; One being, accept LoC as the boundary between India and Pakistan; secondly, a status quo and keep fighting via often skirmishes on the LoC and the third one is all out war and winner takes all. You have a very valid point about the destruction through the usage of N-bombs. India has a declared policy of not using 'first' the nuclear arsenal. However, if Pakistan uses it out of frustration, Pakistan will be wiped off the map. I am not saying India will not face destruction of property and human lives. But at least it will suffer just once and then there will be a peace, no doubt at an extremely higher cost. Other than the above cited three options, I do not see any solution to the Kashmir issue, not at least in the foreseeable future. Do you?

As it seems right now, it is difficult to very whether Mr. Azhar has been detained by the Pakistani authorities or not.  It depends who you ask.  Pakistani authorities and its press are confirming that he is detained, but if you ask the Indian press and the Indian government officials, there seems to be some apprehension in this matter. I am sure this riddle will have its answer pretty soon.  Giving Pakistan a benefit of doubt, let us assume that he is detained.  Then, it is definitely a positive step - a step in the right direction to improve relationship between India and Pakistan.  But in the eyes of this writer, just arresting him along with his colleagues who were involved in the Pathankot attack is not enough.  The sincerity of Pakistan government will be revealed on the type of punishment given to this group, especially to Mr. Azhar.  This is not the only crime Mr. Azhar has orchestrated against India.  He has a history of crimes where he was instrumental in harming India vis-a-vis attack on the Indian Parliament in 2001 and also his involvement in the 26/11 Mumbai attack.  In fact, he should be handed over to the Indian government  so that he can face an appropriate legal music in India.  Till Pakistan's final action and judgement do not surface openly, India ought not to be satisfied, and also India should make it clear to Pakistan now that this was the third strike.  No more strikes will be tolerated by India, and if it happens, there will be an open all out war.

The back and forth decision on the part of US government whether to deliver F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan or not is becoming a headache.  This writer fails to understand this indecisiveness.  The US government should know that whatever aid Pakistan receives whether it is in the form of military aid or financial aid, it is always used against India and not for the purpose it is obtained which is to fight terrorism.  This has been proven many times, and in fact, the previous President Mr. Musharraf had categorically made a statement to this effect that he had diverted this aid to fight against India during a Kargil war in 1999.  Also, it is very well known to the WH that the Taliban group supported by Pakistan is responsible for killing US soldiers in Afghanistan. Thirdly, if US really wants to develop strategic relationship with India to counter China in that part of the world, then supply of F-16s to Pakistan will be a counter productive move towards achieving that objective.  This will push India towards Europe or Russia more for maintaining military balance in that region.  Is that the US government looking for?  The whole world knows that Pakistan is not serious in eradicating terror from its soil.  They help their proxy militants to keep this terror menace simmering against India.  The latest attack on the Indian Air Base in Pathankot, Punjab is a live example among many others similar ones in the past.  In my opinion, the US Congress should not even entertain this request till Pakistan proves its seriousness to eradicate terrorism from its soil and stop abetting, financing and training these non-state actors in Pakistan.  Also, those who have been proven to be involved in the previous terror activities should be brought to justice.

What Nawaz Sharif has done is a window dressing.  By handing over the case to the IB Chief, he has done his job to satisfy New Delhi.  Now it is up to the IB Chief when and how he announces his decision.  I am very apprehensive about the whole thing.  Like previous such incidents, nothing concrete is going to come out from this investigation also.  As a matter of fact, New Delhi ought not to wait for any satisfactory outcome and start contemplating a counter attack whether it should be in Balochistan, Sindh or KP Provinces or all at the same time.  It is a given fact that Pakistan as a nation is a failed nation and the military wants to have a war with India to divert the attention of Pakistani nationals from the failures of government in Islamabad.  Also, since there is a big friction between the Pakistani military and the civilian government in Islamabad, the expected war with India will provide Pakistani military an opportunity to throw the civilian government out and establish a military government in Pakistan.  Suffering in the hands of Pakistan with its nefarious activities like in Pathankot and other places is not the solution.  The solution is to have an all out war with Pakistan to settle the score once and for all.
There is no question that no religion teaches cruelty, inhumane behavior and treatment to any creature created by Almighty God.  Islam is also a religion which promotes peace, equality, love and tranquility in the society.  As the article very rightly stated that it is the Muslim community which by creating its own version of Islam forces the society to go against the teachings of Islam.  So it is the society or so called representatives of Allah - the Mullahs with no spiritual knowledge of Islam - who needed to be condemned.  If Muslim women feel suffocated in their surrounding environment in the hands of Muslim male sect of society, it is their own doing.  They ought to stand up and challenge this ill and unequal treatment from the male community.  In the opinion of this writer, the main culprit to flourish this contorted and convoluted version of Islam is Saudi Arabia.  They are spending tons of petro dollars to set up madrasses worldwide to preach their version of Islam called Wahhabism.  Under Wahhabism, female are second class creatures ( in their mind), have no fundamental rights to drive, to walk alone, to get educated, have no legal protection even if they are raped etc.  Is that a society one wants to live in.  Should contorted version of religion take precedence over fundamental rights of a human being?  Definitely not.  So, the Muslim women have a choice either to stand up and challenge the Mullahs who force them to follow a contorted version of Islam or change their religion.  There are so many religions which provide equal rights to the female community and also preach peace, love and affection for others.  If not, then this suffering will go on and they should not complain, just live with it. Muslim women have a choice to make.

Attack on the Indian Air Base in Pathankot is another example of nefarious activity of Pakistani nexus of Military/ISI to derail a peaceful movement initiated by Mr. Modi by paying a surprise visit to Mr. Nawaz Sharif in Lahore last month. Of course, this is not the first time it happened.  Whenever the representatives of India and Pakistani government met to forge friendly relationship, the above nexus had a 'so called plan B' ready to derail that initiative.  Like in the past similar instances, India has provided proofs to the Pakistani government showing the link of this attack with the non-state  militant outfits - JeM.  Without wasting any time, JeM has claimed the responsibility of this attack.  Pakistan government has also condemned this attack - even though in my opinion, it is just a hogwash.  Civilian government in Pakistan has no authority to talk about any security issues.  It is in the hands of Pakistani military establishment.  So, any positive/negative response from the civilian government on security issue does not mean anything.  I am wondering if India really expects any action against the handlers of this attack in Pakistan especially when their military Chief has told Mr. Nawaz Sharif that no action will be taken by the military against these non-state actors whom Pakistani military/ISI uses as a primary asset against India.  So what is the purpose of providing all kinds of proofs and waiting that some positive action will be taken by the Pakistani government against the perpetrators.  The only way to teach Pakistan an appropriate lesson is to help people in Balochistan, Sindh and KP Provinces- armed them to the teeth and provoke them to revolt against Pakistani military - from all sides at the same time.

Friday, January 1, 2016

Mr. Modi's visit to Lahore is not the first gesture from India to improve relations between India and Pakistan. India has been extending an olive branch since 1947, but that effort has not resulted in any fruitful outcome due to lack of a positive response from the Pakistani government. First of all, this writer has his own apprehension to say that this may not be a sudden visit. These types of visits are never sudden. It seems to me a very well thought out and covert plan. Anyhow, irrespective of its nature, I am not sure if it is going to help improve relations in any different manner. The reason being that it is the military of Pakistan which controls the Security and Foreign Affairs Portfolios. It is the military that has the final authority to say yes or no in this respect. I am not sure if military's approval was taken before letting Mr. Modi come to Lahore to show this friendly gesture. In general, the relations between India and Pakistan cann't improve unless the Military Chief is also involved in the discussion. What I have noticed is that all summit meetings are held among elected civilian representatives of both the governments. None of the times there was a Pakistani military Chief approving, disapproving or even had an opportunity to express his opinion in this respect. So, how can one expect any positive outcome before taking an opinion of the deciding authority? This is just going to be one of the past many gestures to pacify public on both sides of the border.
