To observe the religious circus happening in India is really a ridiculous scenario, whether
it is for the type of movies made in India or someone's religious or
political comments. Instead of
understanding and realizing the intent of people, people are just fighting over
the words being used by others. How
sad? As far as Mr. Hassan's threat to
moving out of India or what will happen if Mr. SRK threatens to move to some
other country, I can assure you that India will survive without them. It is true that they are icons in their own
fields and also are instrumental in creating a few jobs, but that does not
provide them the privilege where India has to feel the pinch if they leave the
country. So long as they, or for that
matter any Indian living in India,
show their true allegiance to India,
they should be respected equally. This
writer, by no means, is suggesting that they should leave the country, but the
writer holds an opinion that everybody on this earth is replaceable including
Mr. Hassan and Mr. SRK. On their own
volition, they can move anywhere they want.
However, when Pakistan's
Interior Minister and LeT's leader Mr. Saeed supported Mr. SRK, it raised some
eyebrows. It is very interesting to note
that all of a sudden the Pakistani leader is worried about the security of SRK
- an Indian national. One wonders why
Mr. Malik is concerned only about SRK and not about other known Muslim
personalities in India
including the other Bollywood Muslim icons.
Does it reflect any political and religious affiliation between SRK and Pakistan or should one conjecture that it leads
to some connection of the D-Company residing in Pakistan with the Bollywood arena
in which SRK is part of. This is a point which needs to be probed
thoroughly. I THINK THE INDIAN POLITICIANS
HAVE MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES TO DEAL WITH THAN WORRYING ABOUT PETTY RELIGIOUS
SENTIMENTS.
