It sounds like another ploy being hatched by the Chinese
Government to entice the Indian Government to lower its guards. This tactic reminds the writer a 1962 slogan
of 'Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai' which was followed by a forceful aggression from China. What happened in that battle is a
history. I am sure India does not
want to face a similar embarrassment. If
India has learned any lesson
from that miserable experience, India
ought not to cave in at all. Needless to
say, militarily and economically speaking, India
is in a much stronger position than it was in 1962, and China realizes
it. Hence, these so called friendly
gestures from China. In my opinion, unless China gets out of Ladakh area, provides freedom
to Tibetans, move out of Arunachal
Pradesh, India
should not give too much credence to these friendly diplomatic hand
shakes. Keeping a diplomatic door open
for exchanging political and diplomatic dialogues, exchanging cultural and
business deals as well as normal friendly visits are fine. But that is where it should end. India needs to continue working on
military R & D and equip the Indian defense forces with the equipments and
armaments second to none. In my opinion,
if there is ever going to be a war in that region, India
will be fighting a dual war which will involve Pakistan
and China together against India. Hence, an urgent need for updated and 5th
generation fighting machines for the Indian forces. INDIA HAS TO BE VERY VIGILANT AND
PROACTIVE OF CHINESE CHESS-LIKE MOVES.
