These incursions are nothing new.  China has been occupying Indian territory slowly and slowly since 1962.  It is happening in the North as well as on the North-East ( Arunachal Pradesh) side too.  China has a long term planned strategy to encircle India to establish its own hegemony in that part of the world.  As this report indicates, every year there are hundreds of such incursion. But the question is what is Indian government intend to do to reverse this practice.  Since Chinese President is visiting India, it is an opportune time for Mr. Modi to keep an occupation of Indian territory encroached upon by the Chinese government on the top of his agenda.  The reaction and response of Chinese President on this issue will evince as to how serious China is to improve relationship with India.  One ought not to under estimate China when it comes to negotiation.  One has to have a clear vision and understanding to read in-between lines.  China may be willing to invest billions of dollars in India with the pretext to ameliorate its relationship with India, but India should not just be complacent with this investment.  The current visit of Chinese President to India reminds me a similar visit of Chou-en-Lai in 1962 with a then very famous slogan of 'hindi chini bhai bhai' which was followed by the Chinese military invasion. What happened in that war is a part of historical record.  So the lesson learnt from our previous experience in dealing with China is not to show China an olive branch that easily unless India recovers the lost territory first.
