Pakistani armed forces are showing the technology it possesses to shoot down a drone just to appease Mr. Sharif and may be other influential leaders in the country.  After reviewing the scenario set by the Pakistani Army and the Air Force authorities, Mr. Sharif made a statement rejecting the activities of drones claiming that they are creating a hindrance in the pursuit of dialogues with the militants.  Making public statements like this one or displaying an anti-drone technology is just a show business.  In reality, Pakistan is not in a position to do anything to stop the drones coming into its skies and killing the militants left and right.  Just think, if Pakistan out of frustration starts shooting down drones, is Pakistan ready to face the wrath of US military might?  Is Pakistan willing to forego the financial assistance it is receiving from the USA?  Can Pakistan afford to live without the diplomatic backing it is receiving from the USA on various issues?  I don't think leaders in Islamabad are so out of synch to pursue this mission.  Then, what is the purpose of displaying this anti-drone technology and pep-talk diplomatic statements - nothing at all?  Therefore, instead of blaming the parties outside of Pakistan, Mr. Sharif needs to concentrate his authorities on the inside authorities and make sure that they do not initiate any action, objectionable to his government,  in Pakistan and/or on LoC without his knowledge - he should not forget what happened when Mr. Musharraf was the General.  He ought to change the organizational chart of military, ISI and the government in Islamabad and this chart should specifically state that Military/ISI report to the leaders in Islamabad and not the other way around.

By extending an invitation to the separatist groups' chiefs in India, Pakistani government is clearly showing its true colors as respects to improving relations with India.  It shows the mentality as well as the dual policy of the Pakistani government.  On one hand, Mr. Sharif is making announcement in front of the whole world to start fresh with the dialogues to ameliorate relationship between the two countries while on the other hand, it is working with their puppets in India who are proponents of separatism on the Kashmir issue.  It shows that Mr. Sharif has no real desire to improve relationship and has not learnt any lessons from his previous failed policies of 1999 or should one say that he has no authority to work in that direction due to an influence from the military/ISI nexus.  Whatever the reason may be, the fact remains that he is working with his hands tied behind his back and he is walking with crippled legs to win this marathon.  Under that circumstance, how can anyone expect to achieve something both nations have been cherishing to accomplish? So, India ought not to waste time in arranging all these summit meetings to exchange dialogues with the hope to accomplish something worthwhile.  INDIA SHOULD LEAVE PAKISTAN ALONE AND LET IT MEET ITS OWN DESTRUCTIVE DESTINY TO THE FINISH.

It appears Pakistan is begging to resume talk with India on multiple issues.May be the new government in Islamabad wants to show to the world that it is making a sincere effort to improve relations with India.  However,this writer has a different opinion about Pak government.It wants to appease the local people and the politicians on one side, but on the other side, the government is blindfolded and not paying any attention to what the military/ISI nexus is doing on the LoC.  Pak military is violating ceasefire continuously and the Indian Jawans are killed on a regular basis for no reason.India has taken a right decision not to dwell on further dialogues unless (a) militancy is eliminated from the Pakistani territory (b) Mumbai attackers are punished severely; (c) Complete ceasefire on LoC.  Also,Kashmir issue is not to be discussed at all should be on this list too.If Pak agrees, then all other issues will be sorted out to mutual benefits.INDIA NEEDS TO BE FIRM THIS TIME

The main purpose of these militant groups is to kill people, create a chaotic situation and anarchy wherever they live and operate.  Also, they want to bring Sharia Law in all countries which means the people in those countries will be forced to live a life style of 7th century.  Lot of petro dollars are being given to these brain-washed militants to fulfill this objective.  Their philosophy is same whether they are in Asia, Europe, Africa and in the American continent.  No civilized nation likes their way of leading a life.  It is inhuman, destructive and disrespectful to mankind.  So, logically speaking, the aim of the civilized nations ought to be to eliminate this threat from the face of earth for the sake of mankind.  Since Pakistan has become ground zero of terrorism and, unfortunately, the Pakistani government is not able to control the activities of these brain-washed militants, some one has to do it for the sake of mankind again. Yes, the integrity and sovereignty of any nation needs to be protected, but if that nation is not capable of controlling the menace it is spreading around, someone else has to step in.  That is what US drones are trying to do for the whole world.  This writer was surprised to hear China condemning US drones activities in Pakistan.  I don't think US wants to do this either, but it is the inability of Pakistan which is compelling US to take this action.  Is China forgetting that its Northwest -Xijiang - region also has this militancy brewing and , by the way, these Chinese militants are being trained in Pakistan?  Has China forgotten a recent suicidal blast in Tianamann Square?  The seed of militancy has already been planted in China too and it is a matter of time when this seed will become a big tree - a tree full of thorns and without any cool shadow.  China ought to be thankful to the USA for terminating these militant miscreants on behalf of the whole world.  PAKISTANIS OUGHT TO BE READY OF DARK FUTURE UNLESS ISLAMABAD BECOMES CAPABLE OF CONTROLLING THE MILITANCY

Pakistani government has been unable to control the activities of the militant groups not because of US drone attacks, but due to the implicit understanding between the militants and the military/ISI nexus.These militants are not rich people, they are dirt cheap poor people.  However, they carry all modern defense equipment and bullets.Who buys that kind of armaments for them?Mr. Mehsud, the leader of Pakistani militant group who got killed couple of days ago was living in a posh bungalow/farmhouse.Who paid for that property?So, the problem is not with the US drone attacks, the crux of the problems lies within the Pakistani Military/ISI establishment which is helping these militant group to stay in power for their own selfish interest.  If today, all militant groups surrender their guns and exchange dialogues with Islamabad for peace, would anyone sees any need of US drones to be in Pakistan? Not at all. So, instead of blaming on US drones, Pakistan needs to mend fences internally

Finally, China is also tasting a fruit it has been growing unintentionally for a long time which is very bitter, destructive and unpleasant.  This fruit is known as worldwide terrorism and the origin of this menace is not too far from Chinese border.  In fact it is next to the Chinese border called Pakistan.  Historically, China has been helping Pakistan with all kinds of assistance - militarily, economically as well as diplomatically.  While China was helping Pakistan for its own economic and military objectives, to their surprise, the militancy was shaping up in Pakistan and the Chinese from the Xijiang Province were being trained in Pakistan too.  It seems that what China recently witnessed at the Tiananmen Square is just a small sample of what is waiting in the wings to happen.  China ought to understand that Terrorism is a global phenomenon and not necessarily limited to a specific country.  Since the militants are using Pakistan as a training ground, one wonders why China or for that matter any country would like to maintain relationship with Pakistan - ground zero of flourishing Terrorism.  This writer is a firm believer of eradication of terrorism from the face of this earth and any contribution from any one is a big step towards the welfare and survival of a mankind.  WOULD CHINA LIKE TO TALK TO ITS FRIEND ACROSS THE BORDER NOT TO LET PAKISTANI TERRITORY BEING USED FOR THE TRAINING OF MILITANTS?

India's bashing of Pakistan is not without any base.  The daily skirmishes and deaths of civilian and army jawans on the border are facts based on which India tries to draw world's attention to the uncontrollable activities on the part of Pakistani establishment - Military/ISI nexus.  It is a well known fact that as far as Pakistan's relations with India are concerned, the civilian government in Islamabad has no control on the policy making and activities of ISI/Military nexus.  Therefore, instead of blaming India, Mr. Sharif ought to try to show some assertiveness on the activities of ISI/military nexus, may be by changing an organizational chart of Pakistan government with a Constitutional amendment, if need be.  Yes, it is a good sign that his government is trying to sit with the Taliban group to find out what they want and, hopefully, it will lead to some fruitful conclusion to bring peace in Pakistan and in the Region.  Even though it is a long shot, but one should not leave hope and that is what the whole world has HOPE.
