It is always good to have a dialogue to solve any lingering issues whether it is on a family, state, national or international level. Mr. Sharif rightfully wants to follow the same path. He wants to start his new assignment as a Prime Minister of Pakistan to make a new beginning by re-engaging India with a "..substantive and purposeful dialogue." Hopefully, he has learnt a lesson from the previously failed policies of Pakistani government including two of his own. However, as the whole world knows, the foreign policies especially pertaining to India emanating from Islamabad don't have much input from the Prime Minister's office rather they are written by the nexus of Army/ISI establishment. In view of this, one wonders how much leverage Mr. Sharif has to deliver with his hands tied on his back in order to ameliorate relationship with India. This writer is a firm believer of exchanging dialogue to solve any riddle, but also holds a firm belief that the clapping can be performed with two equally healthy hands. One healthy and one crippled hand can't make an appreciable noise. Does it mean that the leaders still ought to move forward and listen to each other or just drop the towel and move forward with other agenda more important than this one. Since 1947 India has been unilaterally trying to move forward with the hope that relationship will improve, but so far it has been proven to be a failed attempt. ONE WONDERS HOW MANY MORE ATTEMPTS NEED TO BE MADE BEFORE BYCOTTING THE NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR ONCE AND FOR ALL.

I think this judgment relays a very stern warning to those who even contemplate doing this type of heinous act. Any act of rape is below the dignity of any human being irrespective of the rapist's age. Accordingly, all rape cases ought to be treated without any mercy. This writer holds a firm belief that once the guilt of rape is proven through the legal proceedings, it should call for automatic 'hanging' - no ifs and buts. No consideration ought to be given whether the rapist was underage, in a intoxicated state of mind, belonging to any particular party and has affiliation with any specific family The law ought to be very clear and simple for a common to understand. This should be a law to be followed nationwide. I am sure the proper judgment in this case will be very conducive to reduce substantially, if not eliminate, the rap cases in the country which provides a big relief to the female community in India- especially a sigh of relief for the victim family. FINALLY, THE INDIAN JUDICIAL SYSTEM HAS SPOKEN.

I agree with Mr. Raju's statement about educating the female community worldwide, and India's gesture towards female education needs to be recognized widely. It is the education which helps bring a sense of responsibility, awareness of individual rights and the value of being a valuable member to the society. Needless to say, proper education for male community is needed for him to be able to earn livelihood for the family, but it is equally very essential that the female community is adequately educated also. The reason behind this is that for a child, his/her first teacher is Mom till that child starts going to school. One can safely say that first 4-5 years that child is learning everything from his/her Mom which basically lays the foundation of that child's character. If Mom is educated, she will nurture her child with a sense of responsibility and inculcate all good qualities of life which will play a very important role in making that child a good citizen and a responsible person. Moms' education will be conducive to educating families which in turn makes the whole society, and for that matter, turn the whole country educated. Once a nation is educated, it will have a special respect in the eyes of world leaders and will be able to command a well deserved place in the business community too. If one looks around in the countries where no importance is attached to the education for the female community, their life is like a hell. Their citizens are still living in the 7th century life style. How can one expect those illiterate people to have a reasonable and respectable life? It is no fault of those people. Unfortunately, they are on the mercy of their leaders. THEREFORE, WHAT INDIA IS DOING IN THIS RESPECT IS ADMIRABLE.

Mr. Saeed is openly voicing his opinion as to how much he hates India and 10,000 people attending his rally have been influenced and brain washed by his anti-India slogans and sermans too. One wonders what Pakistani government is doing to stop this fanaticism. His main emphasis is to liberate Kashmir and declare the whole Kashmir area as part of Pakistan even though the Kashmiris living in POK area do not want to be part of Pakistan. They want separation from both India and Pakistan. They want their own nation. If given an opportunity, they rather tilt towards India than Pakistan. So, what Mr. Saeed is claiming is not predicated on the will of Kashmiris in the POK area, rather it is his own concoction. It appears that his mental status needs to be probed. He also has a funny and to a greater extent a questionable claim that if India and the US are against Pakistan, God is happy with Pakistan. What a correlation? one wonders how can one claim the mercy of God being affiliated with one of the killing organizations - the LeT. This organization is responsible of killing so many innocent civilian people and its leaders, including Mr. Saeed, are openly claiming to kill more in the coming times. They are doing it because they have the blessing of Pakistani army/ISI which is basically controlling the total machinery in Pakistan. Civilian government in Islamabad is a puppet government which is dancing on the tune of military/ISI nexus. It is high time for the Indian government to highlight these activities of LeT to the Pakistani government and demand ban on his activities failing which, there should be no dealing with Pakistan.
Mr. Shinde is 100% right in demanding Mr. Dawood's return to India. Needless to say, Mr. Dawood has been declared by the international community as a terrorist and is wanted in India because of his involvement in the murder of 100s of innocent people. Secondly, it is beyond my comprehension to figure out under which law the Pakistani government is sheltering an Indian national for so long. Pakistani government is working very hard to arrange a meeting between Mr. Sharif and Mr. Singh in New York this month. I think it is an opportune time for the Indian strategists to accept this meeting only with a pre-condition that Mr. Dawood will be handed over to the Indian government within 30 days of this meeting. Only and only then, this meeting ought to go forward. India has been showing an olive branch to the Pakistani government since 1947, but without any concrete outcome. I think the time has come when India has to do everything to make Pakistan irrelevant. However, to achieve this objective, there is a need for a very strong government in New Delhi. One can only hope that the next elected government irrespective of party will bear this in mind and deal with Pakistan with the treatment they deserve.
I could not agree more with the contents of this article. It is really a mind boggling why the Indian government is ignoring a situation like this and treat Mr. Gilani like Mr. Saeed is being treated in Pakistan. Both are roaming around with full impunity in their respective countries. The only difference between the activities of Mr. Saeed and Mr. Gilani is that the Pakistani government/Army/ISI nexus is shielding Mr. Saeed even though he has been declared as an unlawful person by the international community whereas Mr. Gilani is openly demanding secession of Kashmir and is completely being abetted, financed and supported by the Pakistani nexus. One wonders if the Indian government is afraid of Muslim community backlash or it does not want to disturb its Muslim voting bank especially in view of an impending election. If that is the case, I think it is a very narrow minded thinking and the politicians are playing politics at the cost of national security, and in my opinion both Congress and the BJP parties are equally responsible of their lack of willingness and inability to initiate any remedial action. Politicians ought to keep party politics aside and do what is good for the country, and do not bend backward to pacify the Muslim community. Under no circumstances, I am proposing to mistreat the Muslim community, rather I am a firm believer of providing equal opportunities irrespective of their cast, creed, sex and religious affiliation. By the same token, all traitors, secessionists, irrespective of their gender, cast, creed and religious affiliation ought to be punished adequately to protect the national security. As we all know, China/Pakistan nexus is working very hard to encircle India and the day may not be too far if India has to face both countries militarily at the same time. Therefore, internal unity along with military might are the main ingredients to maintain and protect at all cost. One hopes that the next elected government will keep it in mind and be firm against people like Mr. Gilani whom I call ungrateful and traitor.
