Like the United States, many other countries and global analysts have highlighted the adverse effects of CPEC to Pakistani economy in the ,long run. Unfortunately, Pakistan is so much entrapped into the contorted investment policy of China, it is very difficult for the former to get out of it. China is the only big brother Pakistan has to keep them floating financially. Needless to say China helps Pakistan on the diplomatic and social fronts also. Without China's support, Pakistan will fold in a few days. As the world knows, China does not have a soft corner in their heart for Muslims which is visible from their actions against Muslims in the North-western Province Xijiang. Muslims are not allowed to fast on Eid, they cann't grow their beard, they cann't give Muslim names to their kids, Chinese non-Muslm men are allowed to sleep with Muslim women, Muslims are not allowed to read quran, they are fed hog meat and so many other non-Muslims acts. Hence, Chinese long term policy is to acquire Pakistani land to satisfy their territorial expansion objective. Secondly, Pakistan has lost confidence in the United States. According to Pakistani government, the USA has ditched them in the past at the time of need. Therefore, I do not think, Pakistan will be easily tilting towards America in that sense, unless America just opened up its exchequer to help Pakistan without any precondition, which this writer does not think is going to happen at least under President Trump's watch.

Mr. Imran Khan seems to be very upset when people talk about
political situation in Hong Kong. Mr.
Khan while supporting Chinese policy in Hong Kong, he rejects India's political
situation in Kashmir. He also insinuates that what protesters in Hong Kong are
doing is against Chinese interest
because Hong Kong is part of China, even though protesters are just asking for
re-instating their democratic rights. As
far as Indian government's action in Kashmir is concerned, Mr. Khan has shown
his race card and condemn government's action in Kashmir. He sounds like he is a true Muslim and
well-wisher of the Muslim community.
However, I would like to draw his attention to the plight of Muslims in
the North-West Province of China where the government has imprisoned one
million Muslims. Muslims are not allowed
to give Muslim names to their new born kids, they cann't have beard and use
skull cap, they cann't fast on Ramadan, they are forced not to use wording ' Allah-ho-Akbar,
they are being brain washed to forget their Muslim traditions, they are forced
to sell hog meat, their Muslim cemeteries are being tarnished for the land to
be used for some other purpose. How come
Mr. Khan and for that matter all analysts and players of race cards do not say
anything when his Muslim brothers and sisters community is being punished. Why, because Mr. Khan is giving precedence to
the dollars he gets from his big brother- so called all-weather friend- over
Muslim community. Is it not a double
standard? Also, when he talks about
Kashmir, why does he forget what is happening in Balochistan which is an
occupied territory by Pakistan. Every
day people are being killed there by the Pakistani military. Thousands of people have been murdered, raped
and disappeared - who is counting? So,
Mr. Khan should first wipe his domestic slate clean before commenting on any
international irrelevant issue.

Muslim clerics who criticized Nusrat Jahan because she did Durga Puja are the worst enemey of Islam. Their only problem was that she being a Muslim worshipped a Hindu Goddess'. How stupid their thought process is? In my opinion, once one sect of religious groups starts differentiating their religion better than the other, it gives birth to hate, enemity and ill-will. I blame the moderate Muslim community that does not come forward openly condemning these fanatic cleris who are responsible of creating this type of ill-will and animosity among various religions. These brain-washed clerics ought to be ostrasized from Muslim religion which will eventually help eradicating this type of thought from the society. Sometime, I intend to ask these type of clerics/mullahs if they have seen Allah. How do they know that Allah does not look like Lord Shiva, Rama or Jesus Christ. Can these fanatic Mullahs vouch for it? If they cann't, then what right do they have to condemn Nusrat Jahan when she is worshipping a Hindu Goddess? I urge the moderate Muslim erudite community to come forward and issue their statement openly to condemn this type of thinking towards Muslim brothers and sisters who do not mind respecting other religions. It will be a great service to Islam

Your comment on the article 'POK residents march towards LoC over Art 370' is now displayed on timesofindia.com.
'There seems to be lot of commotion on the LOC regarding the residents of LoC marching towards India-Pakistan border. I guess, it is in continuation of Mr. Imran Khan''s signal couple of weeks ago in Mujaffrabad wherein he said do not cross LoC until I tell you. Let me go to the UNGA first to raise this Kashmir issue, and then you do it. However, in that function, it was insinuated by a few observers in Pakistan that lot of people from Panjab Province were shipped on trucks and buses to beef up an audience so that it looks impressive when Mr. Khan is going to lecture them in Mujaffrabad. So, I do not think this latest visual commotion is put together by the local PoK people, rather this crowd is group of hired people from other provinces- mainly from Panjab. Police of Pakistan made a right decision not to let them move forward toward Indo-Pak border, because they will become easy prey for the Indian defense forces. Right now, political/religious and military tension is very high, it is prudent for Pakistan not to play any rash game and be responsible for any untoward incident at the border. Ball is in Pakistan''s court.'

'Pakistan is a country breathing with the help of a ventilator. It is a country whose limbs have been crippled and sitting on a wheel chair pretending that it can move from one place to another. It is crippled economically-lack of funds to survive; crippled militarily - military cann''t fight with India which has been admitted by Imran Khan; crippled diplimatically because no country is willing to listen to its grievances except some providing a lip service; and crippled administratively - lack of cohesion among various political parties. Also, needless to say crippled academically - they cann''t figure it out how to make their country prosperous, and seeking economic advice from the military personnel whose job is to protect the country not to run the economy of a country. What a sad state of affair? I do not think Pakistan has any magic wand to find a solution to all these problems. The only way which is now a long way to find a solution is to separate military from the civilian government. Let it be known to the international community that Pakistan as a country has a military and not the other way around. Most of the Pakistani budget is allocated to the well-being of a military establishment at the cost of poor education, poor health, poor nutrition of rest of the population. Is Pakistan ready to admit it?' |

It is always good to create jobs to take care of an unemployment situation. However, keeping in view a long range objective and prosperity, it is equally important to create incentives for the private sector also to hire more people. Invest in R & D projects managed by private companies. Making bigger government establishments is not going to bring long term prosperity in the state. In my opinion, government involvement means inefficiency, corruption. nepotism and misuse of funds. By no means, I am saying that there should not be any body working for the government enterprises, but government should be slim and trim, just working as an hawk. Government should not be a major hiring house, this task should be given to the private entities, and they can do it when attractive incentives like tax breaks, easy terms and conditions for investment in their business etc. are provided to them. This is a beauty of capitalism - create competition among the private industry. Let them fight it ought to make their own hold in the market. The more competition government helps create, the better off consumer will be

Mr. Imran Khan, in this article, talks about so many items; for example, conventional war vs. nuclear war, India violating UN's provision about Kashmir as a disputed territory, Pakistan will not start war vs. warning the international community about the consequences of war. I think he is baffled, confused, irritated and feeling helpless not knowing how to handle this situation. By abrogating Article 370, India has pulled rug from under their feet, and Pakistani government is running around like chickens with heads cut off. Mr. Khan should learn some lessons from the previous 4 wars they have fought with India and everyone knows how the results turned out. UN has very directly told the Pakistani Government many a times that Kashmir is a bilateral issue and ought to be resolved through dialogues between India and Pakistan. As far as starting a war is concerned, India does not have to start any war. Pakistan's economy is in doldrums anyway, and India has been successful in isolating Pakistan in the eyes of civilized world community. In short, India has already won a war. Pakistan is just breathing with a life support equipment, and time is not too far when a plug of this life support will be pulled. Whether this plug is pulled by internal forces or a nation will die on its own - does not matter - it is counting its last days.

Since the abrogation of Article 370, PM of Pakistan along with his officials have raised their voices against India's decision to declare this Article null and void in almost all the forums, but without any concrete results. PM of Pakistan is going again to the USA to meet Mr. Trump to seek latter's intervention in this matter. I am not sure what does Mr. Khan think going to happen in this impending meeting. Does he think Mr. Trump will interfere into India's domestic issue and upset Indo-US relations just to appease Mr. Khan? I doubt. Mr. Khan is also going to Saudi Arabia and OIC on this issue to seek some assistance or at least an open condemnation of an action which India took on August 5th. Saudi Arabia along with OIC have already stated that it is India's internal matter and ought to be solved bilaterally. In view of all this, one wonders why is he going to visit USA , OIC and Saudi Arabia again? I think he is going to Saudi Arabia with a begging bowl to have some donation so that his nation can survive for a little bit longer time - abrogation of an Article 370 is just an excuse. Also, not to mention his irresponsible statements to wage a nuclear war against India if the world does not take any action to reverse India's action of revocation of an Article 370. He is basically inciting all Muslims to become Jihadis.

Kidnapping, converting and forcibly marrying minority non-Muslim girls to the Muslim spouses is not new in Pakistan. It has been going on since Pakistan was born. In fact it is the philosophy of Pakistani people to marry non-Muslim girls, either by hook or crook, so the population of Muslims goes up and the non-Muslims stay in the minority category. So, what happened to Jagjit Kaur is not a new news. However, my question about this matter comes out of lack of sensitivity on the part of Sikh community both in India and Pakistan. Yes, CM of Panjab (India) has requested PM of Pakistan to look into it which, in my opinion , is a hog wash. It is just a formality to assuage the Sikh community in India. I think these type of cases need more visible public outcry in both India and Pakistan. It is such an ironical situation when I read news that Sikhs want to fight for Khalistan, their own nation, with the help of Pakistan, does not their conscious jolts them? Don't they think even for a minute that they are working with a country to achieve this objective which is ABDUCTING, RAPING, CONVERTING THEIR DAUGHTERS TO iSLAM AND FORCIBLY MARRYING them to the Muslim community. Have they forgotten their own Sikh history which reveals how Muslim rulers butchered Sikh Gurus and their families? Are worldwide Sikhs ignoring all those atrocities? It is a shame. Time to show and get things done with diplomacy is in the past. Today;s voice is be proactive and challenge these cruel and uncivilized actions with visible force.

When the ex Chief Minister Obdullah asks for a provision to have a separate Prime Inister for the state of J & K , to me it smells like an activity of treason. Hown can there be two Prime Minister in one country? He is speaking the same language which his father and forefatheres were stating - a sense of separation from India. I do not know the Indian Constitution, but it certainly does not show any allegiance to India. It certainly is a serious issue and ought to be tackled seriously in view of all the legalities.

Pulwana is another sad story showing a despicable attitude and heinous action on the part of not only perpetrator organization called JeM but also the government of Pakistan along with its nexus of ISI/military. I can bet, it will not be the last one either.Mr. Prime MInister, you are right in saying that the blood is boiling in the veins of Indians. Why should it not? The time for economic sanctions and actions as well as diplomatic boycott is gone. It is too late to think and talk about these counter actions. It is not the time either to think what international community will think if India takes any counter action. The time is to take ten times stronger military action against Pakistan. Pakistan has already been isolated. It does not make sense to waste time to isolate it further. It is not the time to pacify anybody in the world, but to the Indian community in India and abroad. Mr. Prime Minister, my gut feeling is that any inaction in this matter might affect adversely your election result next year.PROPER AND ADEQUATE DE-MARCHE IS WARRANTED VERY BADLY.

I agree with President Trump about the expletive used by this newly elected Congress women. I wonder if she will be allowed to use similar words for a ruler or a king in Palestine or in any other Muslim country. Definitely not. She will be beheaded within no time. So, instead of being thankful to enjoy freedom of speech in this country, people like her misuse the soft tenets of democracy in this country. Unfortunately, none of any congressman and woman of democratic party has spoken against her unacceptable behavior and use of foul language against the President of this great nation. I think it is about time to pass a legislation to condemn those who use a foul language against the Office of the President. One may not like a person sitting in the Oval Office, but as long as he/she is occupying that office, that office demands respect. Mentally imbalanced people like her do not deserve to be in the Congressional office
